Money doesn't buy sense.

One thing I learned is that there is a bobcat season in Maine.

Dissatisfaction is the natural human state. People never feel they have enough. Even when they claim to have 10x as much as most people in this area.

I am older but work with many younger clients. I have learned a great deal about how to manage these clients.

I can't believe no one said bacon. I always make it in the oven now. So much easier.

The “happy and dumb” technique for dealing with difficult family members.

Basically when I see my in laws now, I don’t make any effort whatsoever to connect with them and pretend to be stupid and cheerful. I don’t talk or ask any questions at all. I say very little and if I do talk, I only remark on our immediate surroundings. I don’t share anything about myself or ask anyone any questions.

I know this sounds completely sad and crazy to people with functional families but it is a technique that I learned on the family relationships forum and it works well. My in laws like me more now than they did before.

That chicken shawarma from the NYT cooking is awwwesome....just made it again last night.

That I don't need to feel guilty if I decide to medicate my son for his ADHD.

We need to save a lot more for retirement- embracing austerity at our house.

That many women don't like their MIL and I have one son, so doing the math.

People will do *a lot* to get their kids into AAP

It really made me look at how I come across on line. I don’t ever brag or talk about my finances or situation IRl or on other social media- but I used to here. It made me look at my underlying attitude towards wealth and truly changed my appreciation for my own circumstances- while simultaneously making me consider how even in an anonymous forum my words or judgments could be haughty or hurtful. I’m grateful!

I bought my dream house based on advice from DCUM Real Estate forum. It needed at least 250K in renovation, and I was comfortable with my estimates based on discussions in the Real Estate Forum.

Most of the repairs/renovations have been completed, and I am pretty happy that I took the risk.

That it’s really normal to fight with your husband when your first is a newborn.

What a great DH I have.

How to talk about “emotional labor”

Daycare recommendations when we moved

And the biggest thing by far: Helping me realize I had PPD, for which I sought treatment shortly thereafter. Someone had posted the screening tool, and I took it thinking it would prove I didn’t have PPD and should buck up. Instead, it got me on the path to get better and get my ability to smile and laugh and feel joy back.

Do you mind sharing where you had this done? Any tips or things to know?

Veera Gorlatova is her name. Techniques are very natural looking. The lash line enhancement was pretty uncomfortable, but so worth it. I can go out without eye makeup.

Please share the bacon in the oven and chicken recipe/techniques!

About MILs. Someone shared once that they try to be the type of person others want to be around. Best advice ever. I have one son and swear I’m going to be like this instead of like my MIL. I repeat this silently to myself all of the time when I want to be nasty to coworkers.

I recommend D3+K2 supplement. Made me a different person.

+1
I am the PP above. I also started using K2 (K2 - MK7 made with natto) since January along with D3 + liquid magnesium. After almost 10 years of having terribly high cholesterol (high LDL, low HDL) it completely normalized my numbers in 4 months. K2 is a game changer for me. I found the recommendation for K2 on the internet after a sibling suffered from a heart attack due to clogged arteries.

NP-which product specifically do you see working best? I was always interested in Mg and K2 supplements (DH also has high cholesterol) so any rec would be useful. thanks!
