I’m forever grateful! Thanks, dcum!

That is awesome! Who was the therapist? I have been interested in this treatment.

But most of all that I have normal kids, a great DH, and a pretty functional extended family. The insights into the personal hell of so many posters is eye opening.

What is the deal with tightening upper lids?

Not the PP, but I was taught how to do this by a makeup artist at Nordstrom at 15 years old and I have done it every day since then. I am almost 34 and swear I could do it in the back of a moving car without a mirror at this point. The technique itself it really just pushing liner up into your lashes from the bottom up, in between the lashes. You can use a pencil, but I am a powder and brush kinda gal and find it easier and a cleaner line, so here is what I do!

You get a brush like this (or pencil, but see above)
I had this done with permanent makeup. Painful, but so worth it. Lasts years.

You wet it with some water and dip into a cake liner, like this one below. A solid black eyeshadow will also work. Really swirl it around. The wetter your brush, the more intense your pigment and liner. I go for it!

Then you push the flat liner brush in between your lashes. I also frequently hold it stationary and blink my lashes onto it. It's really easy.

This video is a bit long, but this is basically it. She does make a good point about tightlinging versus hitting the lashline. It mostly makes your lashes look thick. Bonus- it lasts and doesn't smudge AT ALL.

I am fair, blonde haired, and blue eyed. People are shocked I wear black eyeliner everyday. However, applied in this way, it is really not harsh, I swear. Give it a try!

+1 and also that I’m both stupid and hate kids since I’m a teacher.

Nailtiques Formula - I use the 2 Plus. It's a nail strengthener and it has changed my nails completely! Available at Amazon, CVS and Target.

Do you mind sharing where you had this done? Any tips or things to know?

If you’re thinking of moving to DC, you shouldn’t, because everyone there is awful and you can’t afford it anyway. If you’re thinking of moving away from DC, you shouldn’t, because everyone there is racist and you will be forced to eat every meal at Applebee’s.

I literally lol'd at this because we did move away and the only places there are to eat are Applebee's, Olive Garden, and Chili's. Maybe Red Lobster if we're feeling swanky.

My DD and I, both used it and loved it. I have also bought it and sent to relatives abroad. Finally, it helps with foot fungus and nail fungus too.

I am the PP above. I also started using K2 (K2 - MK7 made with natto) since January along with D3 + liquid magnesium. After almost 10 years of having terribly high cholesterol (high LDL, low HDL) it completely normalized my numbers in 4 months. K2 is a game changer for me. I found the recommendation for K2 on the internet after a sibling suffered from a heart attack due to clogged arteries.

I posted the original link two years ago about the Macy’s coats. I was so happy seeing everyone reply about how many were purchased to help children and how many people loved them for their own kids. I hope they have the sale again this year. I purchased some at the slightly higher price both for donation and also for my own children again last year. Thanks for putting his on the list. You made my night.

I am the PP who made the list above. A really big heartfelt thanks to you for posting that link. You helped so many needy children with your post and it was also a really good feeling for many of us (parents, teachers) without deep pockets to do our part and address a need we see so often during the cold months.

We appreciate that you are willing to keep an eye on the sale and flag it for the rest of us this year too. I loved that I was able to donate multiple brand new, stylish and warm coats for these children, instead of just donating 1 or 2 used coats like I always do.
