You do believe in mental illness, right? Not saying you don't.

DP. I believe in the affluenza defense for a wealthy brat in over her head who tried to grift billions. Including a Defense Department contract!

Nope. She’s out. And since 2018 she’s gotten married and also just had a baby.

And she married rich! Her husband's family is mega rich.

I will never understand knowing what he knows about her why the husband jumped into a marriage with her?

Nuts, college dropout, tens of millions in legal fees, and facing jail-time. What about that said 'yes perfect spouse and mother'?

They met/started dating in 2018. Theranos went tits-up in 2017. Although that has interesting implications for her trial. So...

And his parents were not a fan -

Evans' parents are reportedly "flabbergasted" at their son's decision to marry Holmes, the Post reports. A former colleague of Evans' said: “It’s kind of like Billy is her shiny new toy. She’s super enthusiastic about being with him."

This is her with her brother at a Obama event in 2015.

I did not know that people had received incorrect test results--I thought they were always just having other labs do the Walgreen tests.

Why did Walgreens not get suspicious when they had to use phlebotomists?

Given the company's paranoia + hype, when they bought test equipment from other vendors, how did they keep that secret?

Check out the original thread on her - hilarious in retrospect: https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/405456.page

Someone on DCUM called her out as a fraud in that thread - in 2014! It’s on page 4.

The hilarious thing is someone on DCUM called them out for correctly assessing that this is the most fraudelent company in history

I came in to say this.... The whole platform is suspect and they haven't released any data to be publically scrutinized. They are running LDTs which do not have to go through FDA clearance. You can have all the patents you want but let's see if the have a viable product.

The idea that one can do 30 assays from 25 uL of whole blood is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

She is a terrible person. And look at that board she was able to secure for her fraudulent company. It’s so disturbing that these are our leaders.

PP. I'm not defending Holmes, at all, or saying that I think that she has a mental illness. If she claims that she does, that will be explored in court.

Thanks for posting tha link to the original thread.

I love how the first 5 pages are a mixture of You Go Girl and Her Background Paved Her Way, and suddenly someone drops the mic with That Technology Can’t Possibly Work.

Reading the rest of it is going to be my guilty pleasure today.

I don't really get it, either, but honestly I think a lot of people love "bold thinkers" with "big ideas." That's probably going to be her defense strategy in court: she didn't commit a fraud, she's just a genius who had a big idea that didn't pan out, and Big Pharma/The Government/"Society" just don't get it and are jealous. This dude essentially fell for the personal version of that story.

And anyways, white collar crime sentences aren't that heavy, she'll be out in a couple of years if convicted.

Same! I guess if she doesn't plan on testifying it doesn't matter as much. I wonder if she had long-term vocal damage from the voice faking.

She'll get at least 10. She had a baby to delay the trial, she's quite the sociopath.

Remember Enron....

She will get home detention if anything. Otherwise, the baby grows up without a mother.

Who cares? There are babies born in prison every day. He'll raise it as a single father for five years and move on.
