How did a plain chubby girl snag a hottie?

I’m in on this late. I was hot when I met DH. marathon runner and, from feedback, a looker. I was also 28.

Life isn’t kind to everyone. I’m not 42, struggling to lose baby weight due to a full time job and a needy toddler. DH is kind of clueless about childcare, so it falls on me, and I don’t have time to look after myself.

I’m still cute, but I would wonder how I snagged DH if I saw us these days.

Three things:

1. "Hot" women can be very insecure and controlling. Maybe, just maybe, his wife let's him be himself and he loves her for that.
2. She is great in bed
3. There is an old saying that I have found to be pretty accurate: "Always remember, no matter how good she looks, some guy, somewhere, is sick of her crap...."

My dh was a goofy teen that matured into a very hot adult. We fell in love in early college. My weight has fluctuated with children/nursing and he has loved me at every size while he has remained a consistent muscular/lean. If people had seen us at my heaviest post partum, dark circles under my sleepless eyes, slightly dumpy and unkempt, I’m sure they would have wondered why we were together. But we have remained in love with a great sexual and romantic relationship all these years.

I would take a size 16 who could f*ck like a pornstar over a size 2 who was merely "average" any day of the week, all year long.

What does how you looked right after childbirth have to do with anything?

Lose weight and get hotter...that’s how.
