I take mine off a lot in the winter because my hands get so dry and I like to lotion them frequently, but I'm don't want to get them dirty.

Mine falls off in the winter and is super tight in the summer.

Was he indian? All of my indian uncles wear diamond rings.

No, a successful entrepreneur in 19th century Philadelphia, from a German immigrant family.

1.5 c moissanite in a custom platinum type vintage setting, thank you Etsy.

a half-carat solitaire with two small diamonds on each side. Cost $699 32 years ago.

I still happily wear it, and I'm just as married than those who spent a lot more.

1.75 carat ascher cut on plain platinum band. No input from me but I love geometric/ clean lines so he did great. Paid for by a successful venture so it was "fun" money I suppose and DH wanted to spend it this way.

I took mine off the night I got it!!! I wear them probably 75% of the time but hate sleeping in any jewlery

1.25ct cushion cut, in a platinum cathedral setting with graduated side stones and a custom leaf pattern on the sides, with a coordinating full eternity band.

For those who care about engagement stories - DH had already bought the center stone but it wasn't set yet. He proposed at the same place we'd had our first date with a pearl ring and a printout, then flew me to NYC the next weekend to finalize the setting. He had already picked a very similar Tacori setting that I loved, but he wanted us to customize it, so I sketched the new side pattern and we worked with a custom jeweler on 5th avenue to turn it into a proper ring design that I still love, even though I rarely wear it any more due to weight gain.

I take mine off to go to the gym, and then don’t end up wearing it on Saturday and Sunday if I run errands after the gym. I also don’t wear in the house. It’s set high and I bump it on things and almost lost the center diamond that way.

I can't wear mine very much because my eczema flares.

I had given him a bunch of ideas (including this art deco style, but also pearl rings or other stones or designs). I love it!

I LOVE art deco rings! Lucky you!

Cushion cut 2.7ct Bombay sapphire with three round 0.25 ct diamonds on each side. 14K yellow gold band. It was DH's grandmother's engagement ring.

Gray? Isn't that industrial grade?

No idea what that means.

As in, a poor clarity/color that is sold as "gray" to make is sound appealing, like a pink diamond or a yellow diamond, when it is actually just a colorless diamond of such a poor quality that it appears "gray" to the naked eye.

NP with no dog in this fight, who is simply translating what "industrial" or "promotional grade" means in jeweler's terms.

I would like this as a right hand ring. What was the shop?

Uh, because my job is gross (lots of blood, feces, and germs) and is in a high-theft area.
