| Slightly under 1 ct, near perfect, oval cut from Tiffany. |
| His grandmother's five stone old mine cut diamonds, reset into a rose gold band (12 years ago, I SWEAR before rose gold became a thing). It looks like an anniversary band, but I like that it's not a traditional solitaire. I would have stopped wearing one of those ages ago. |
Wow, you care a lot about appearances. Not cute. |
| Mine is tacky-big - 4.75 carat emerald cut solitaire. I feel tacky/pretentious wearing it but it was a gift from my grandfather to my grandmother. He died just around when I was born so it was the only thing of his I have or will likely ever have. And my grandmother wore it for decades which I also love. |
| Inherited early twentieth century diamond from family. Reset in a band I now consider too gaudy. We're divorcing. I'm bitter. |
| 1.5 ct/H/VS1 (GIA) cost $7k (a bargain). |

One carat oval diamond in platinum.
Perfection! I've only seen one other oval diamond, and the other one was in yellow gold. |
| My grandmother’s diamond, a 1.2 round set in a 2mm plain platinum band. Wedding ring is 2mm as well but is a half eternity band. |
| 3 ct. radiant cut solitaire set in diamond band. Once upon a time, I thought I'd add side stones, but now I prefer the simple look of a solitaire. |
| 3/4 carat flawless diamond four prong solitaire in 2mm 14k yellow gold band. Perfect, but I think my DH didn’t quite trust me when I said I wanted yellow gold, instead of white, so glad he listened to me instead of the sales lady about metal type. |
| 3.8 carat eternity band |
| 2ct ascher cut surrounded by diamonds supported by split shank with tiny diamonds, all in platinum. I have 3.5 finger so it looks magnificent. |
Are you keeping the ring? |
Sounds pretty! Probably what I thought I wanted but my husband surprised me with something completely different and I'm ecstatic. Did you pick yours or did he? |
Thanks! He did - I gave no input. I love the sapphires. |
