And women hate men. See how that works? Can we stop with the male bashing. All MEN are not bad, evil people, just as all women are not bad, evil people. These individuals are sick but it does no good for you and your kind to continue to lump all men into your problematic view of the world. STOP IT.

Men need to stop watching porn where women are hurt and abused and that is part of the appeal.

If women were watching and getting off to men being hurt, abused, violated, humiliated- yes, you bet there would be stories about it.

I'm not gonna stop, and I'm not gonna shut up. I'm gonna fight.

You don't read erotica, do you? It's not identical, because no actors portray what happens. The subject matter, though, is sometimes not far off of this extreme porn.

Men are hurt and abused in erotica? Whaaaaaaaa?

Dude, you're straight up delusional and talking out of your ass.

I think you got it reversed. These films (hurt and abuse) exist because there's a market for it. Some men, but not all, are just disgusting like that and they inherently get pleasure out of watching these vids.

That's... not having it backward? That's my point exactly- there is a market for it because men want to watch women getting abused. If men weren't getting off from this, these videos wouldn't exist.

Wrong. Content providers outside the US only deal with 18+ models also. Why would they risk getting in huge trouble by using an under-18 model? The sites in the US that buy their content wouldn't touch the stuff. There's no business reason to do so, and besides, there are plenty of 18+ people out there to hire.

You obviously haven't been to many "resort" islands and cities in south and central America and Asia where bars are literally crawling with pimps and pubescent girls who will do anything.

And this has exactly what to do with porn produced for a U.S. audience?

I feel sick when I see how common it's become to slap the woman, pull her hair, spit on her, and make her gag. This was considered insanely degrading and misogynist in my youth, and we would have been up and out the door if a guy did that. (I'm not talking about relationships based on s&m.)

I agree this is a huge problem and I'm much more concerned about this than the airhead prostitutes that make the films happen.

This is an argument that porn itself is harmful, and I agree that it can be actually harmful. That's a separate issue.

I don't agree that the actors need to be prevented from acting in porn films for their own good, but that doesn't mean I dismiss them as "airhead prostitutes". Whether they are savvy, desperate, smart, or dumb, it is probably not their first choice. Neither were they coerced or trafficked. They would probably be happier to be acting in porn movies that are less extreme.

Oh get the hell over yourself. How do you know? Oh right, you guessed, because it wouldn't be your first choice. Seriously, you are a patronizing misogynist.

You are a disgusting pig who doesn't want to acknowledge the reality of women's abuse. You want to sweep it under the rug. Too bad. It's real, and we're not going to hide it anymore.

DP

And you are too obtuse to understand that these are actors, acting?

Do you understand that murders in movies aren't really murdering people? It's a movie. It's fake.

After the porno scene is shot, they clean up, get dressed, help the crew pack up the lights and gear, and then they all probably go to Chipotle or get drinks.

You didn't read the article, did you?

Please, for the love of God, READ ARTICLES before commenting. My Lord. How embarrassing to weigh in so authoritatively and you're just 1000% incorrect.

I did, and if the author really believes those women aren't professional porn actresses who know EXACTLY what they're doing, then she's operating a few bricks short of a full load.

You think she's acting when she cries out in pain? Wow. You must not have read very much about the porn industry. Time for you to educate yourself before spouting off, sparky.

I know she's an actress. Acting. Stop implying she was raped or that her participation in acting wasn't done without her clear, informed consent.

You think the sex is faked? These are not ACTRESSES, they are not a part of SAG, they did not go to the Actor's Studio, they are basically young 18 year olds who've never acted in anything in their life who are desperate for money. NOT acting. REAL pain, real distress, as so many porn actresses have spoken out about. Educate yourself.

They are over 18 and participating willingly. End of story.

Okay, they love the extreme stuff. Either way, I'm not going to prevent them from acting in porn films for their own good. Did you miss my point about not calling them airhead prostitutes, or did you think that's a good way to describe porn actors?

Yeah, I do think so. Let me guess, you're feeling sanctimonious because I called porn actors prostitutes with judgment problems? Bite me.

I'm not sure if you're the same PP, but either way, I'm not sure what your point is or what you're trying to say. We clearly disagree about something. Have a nice day.

No, it's not the end of story, not when deception and coercion and large amounts of money to desperate people is involved.

I am the same Pp, and I answered your question directly. Stop making victims of everyone and worry about your own sad life.

Most of these responses assume that the they are smart and it is the dumb, young people who are victims. As if they don't have their own agency. Sexist much?

Just like it is all the other idiots who respond to advertising but not you.

It's like one person (OP) who keeps coming back and turning all porn actors into victims of society and the patriarchy.

This post doesn't even make sense, but yes, with education, age, etc come wisdom, ability to negotiate, etc. 18 year olds, male or female, are going to be much easier to manipulate- especially women, who are trained and indoctrinated by culture to be agreeable.
