Why ate all of these links (with the exception of the last one) from 2014??
I had to check to make sure this wasn't an old resurrected thread due to the old links. |
I hate doctors who think they know about science--just stick to handing out the drugs that the pharma rep told you to prescribe. |

But urine is sterile
Scientific fact |
When you get cancer will you let a science teacher take care of you? |
Ha! This reminds me of a time at the beach not all that long after my first potty trained. The week that he was PT'ing we used one of those blog up potties as I didn't want to confuse them. (those things are great, used it with all three kids on the beach!). Anyway. My son had to pee. I told him to go down and go in the ocean (this was at a beach where the nearest public bathrooms was several blocks over hot sand and he was 2). He balked and we all encouraged him, "its okay!". He walked down the the ocean as we all watched. He got to the waters edge and dropped trou and started peeing into the ocean while standing on the sand as I went running down the beach screaming "NOT LIKE THAAAAAAAT"!

"Fact"? |
I'm not the PP you're quoting, but I can understand the PP. Understanding in medicine changes. Would you say you have learned nothing new since medical school? Or that medical "facts" today will not be different in 20 years with new studies, etc.? You think you know literally everything that is true right now about the human body? Come on. |
hahahahaaha!
|
Two thumbs up, sir! You pee where you want to. |
You mean to tell me you don't know doctors attend seminars and conferences yearly, if not more? You're kidding, right? Of course medicine changes constantly. But fact is fact. |
Hilarious!
|
In every field, including medicine, we think we know facts and then with time discover we were wrong. What's your evidence that urine is sterile? |
When did I say it was? You claimed doctors don't learn anything new after med school. |
It's not. As soon as it leaves the body it's full of ick. |
Nope, I didn't, I asked a question. I was attempting to make the opposite point to whomever keeps saying "fact is fact", "urine is sterile." Maybe once upon a time there was that belief, but the science has changed. "Facts" change and we're all constantly learning. |
