I pee in the pool. My son pees in the pool, though he's in baby diapers.
The pee doesn't bother me but when my son pooped in his swim diaper in the baby pool, it keep the poop in. What it didn't keep in was the water that would get in the diaper, turn into poop water, and then leak out. Since then, I don't touch the baby pool water. |

I'd much rather the kids pee in the pool rather than in the grass around the pool. We have several kids (and I'm being generous with the term 'kids' as some of them are much too old to whip it out in public) who regularly use the grass. Some moms have taught the boys to go up to the fence and sort of pee through it, but many just tell them to go over to the edge of the grass.
It grosses me out when I see them marking their territory like a dog and then watch someone come spread out a blanket in that same area to have a picnic. Plus, after a stretch of no rain to rinse off the grass, it does start to smell, IMO. I was a competitive swimmer and peeing in the pool is not taboo among that set. If anyone left practice to go to the bathroom, you knew it was because they needed to go #2 or it was their time of the month. |
| DC pees before going to the pool even if he doesn't have to go at that moment. He will squeeze it all out because he wants to go to the pool. Not same when we go out. He expects us to find a bathroom when he wants to go. And no, I don't want him peeing in the pool. |
I've got news for you: Your kid is probably peeing in the pool. |
| Urine probably isn't sterile. And anyway, for the people who say it is unless someone has an infection--do you think that only healthy people go to the pool?! |
|
You are disgusting and a disgrace to society. What the fuck is wrong with people, peeing where other people are swimming??? |
This is your second attempt, and nobody is agreeing with you. Your takeaway from this should be that maybe you should steer clear from pools. It's apparent people of all ages are peeing in them. Even professional athletes. So if you can't handle it, stay out of the pool. The rest of us aren't in denial. |
Kinda agree with you, PP. I think she's saying that her kids go over to the grass, pee all over themselves (running down their legs, etc.)-- then go hop back in the pool? |
And this is worse than a child opening the floodgates into the pool how? |

I encourage my daughter to pee in the pool during swim practices because the coaches usually won't let them get out. What do you think the chlorine is for?
Anyone who has issues with people peeing in the pool shouldn't go to public pools. As someone mentioned upthread, it's the other ares that are much more disgusting. Do you think that young kid, or that 80 year old man, for that matter, wiped his butt completely after he pooped? Hells no. That stuff is floating around in the pool too. Let the chlorine do it's job. |
I didn't say it was worse, I'm not commenting on peeing in the pool. I'm commenting about having your kid stand there and pee all over themselves. Just seems barbaric and weird. |
But it's not like they replace the water every day so it's cumulative. |
Let's try this again. It's pee all over you in the pool, when you pee there? It doesn't cling to the insides of the suit the same as it does if you pee outside of the pool? |
And once again, most of us here don't seem to care. |
