| I know it's hard to believe, but there are a few teachers who teach real subjects. STEM teachers might have better things to do then make sure they visit all these "historic" places. |
I have taught 24 years for FCPS. I've been to the mall there once. Am I a bad person? |
Are you in your 40s or 50s? Why can't you just grab your car and go? There's no Jane at the mall but there is a Lucy. |
Sure I could, but I have no need or desire to do so. |
Good for you if you teach Economics. Did you send a sub to the classroom? |
| If being a teacher is just a job for you, then pay a visit to the historic gym. You'll be fulfilled. |
You can get inspired to create models. Make your brain work. |

I'm a teacher and I spent the weekend doing household chores, correcting papers and resting up for the week ahead. Hope that's okay with the OP. |
I'm sure it is. But during the summer you should definitely be in Jamestown. |
| Not everyone is obsessed with white colonists |
Perhaps. Doesn't mean you're any better. But thanks for doing the bare minimum. Why go to Jamestown when you have grammars to correct? |
Please post your phone number so the teacher can contact you for reimbursement for this additional work day and to cover other costs (babysitting, missed day at summer job, travel costs, etc). |
You do understand that there are more than two or three posters on here? FWIW, I haven't taught in years and I have been to Jamestown. I suspect most people on this thread have been to Jamestown--but, they understand why a teacher may not have been there. Also, If you don't understand that grammar counts and creates impressions on your knowledge and intelligence, I cannot help you. You think the teachers must visit all historic sites. I think you need to learn some grammar. By the way, it is grammar--not grammars. Where are you from? |
| How many museums or historic places do you visit per year? Not just for your job but for self fulfillment or for your own kids. |
