Not necessarily. It all depends. Go to the Smithsonian during the day when the kids are there. Some are guided and attentive--others are running wild. |

But OP wasn't talking about whether the teacher is taking his/her students to these places (which is not up to an individual teacher, but up to the school, and likely dependent on PTA funds, because charter buses are $$$$$$), or whether teacher finds them relevant. OP is complaining that the teacher didn't visit these places on his/her own time for his/her own edification, and insinuating that this reveals that the teacher is not a good teacher/not patriotic and/or teacher is not intellectually curious. Which is, of course, absurd. All of this is absurd. I'm done. |

I'm glad you're finally done, because you lack the ability to make a good interpretation. It is absurd that you cannot think clearly when you read. Good luck. |
WTF? Did you run out of ways to tear down your kid's teacher so now you are trying to attack PP? Take a look at yourself. You are the one lashing out, making baseless judgements of others. Time for some self-reflection to determine why you are such a jerk to others. |
perhaps it's time for the two teachers to know about this and go check it out? plus there may not be much to see for an adult, but i'm sure for a teacher teaching jamestown there's a lot worth sharing with the kids. |
You are the one who needs a whole week of self-reflection and seek therapy for your insecurities. This thread is not about tearing down a teacher personally, it is about finding out why many teachers don't want to visit historic places around town. That is ALL. You are the one attacking with your vulgar vocabulary. Adieu |
New poster here-- OP, you really need to stop. Really you do. You do not come across as intelligent at all. In fact, you seem unhinged-which is a word I was hesitant to use because it gets thrown around a lot on this site, with little to no evidence to support the claim. But you've gone on for 10+ pages. If your goal was to get the answer to a question, fine, you got one. So why not go, "Hmmmm....okay, I get it now" instead of insisting on being ridiculously judgemental? Several posters--teachers and non-teachers--have told you you're being ridiculous and tried to reason with you. But instead of reflecting, you insist on bulldozing through with your assumptions. I can easily make judgments about parents who don't take their children abroad, send their children to summer camps, have at least $100,000 saved for their education by the time they finish the 4th grade. I mean, my parents did all of those things for me, and I did all of those things for my kids, sooooo...What's wrong with you???? Does that make you financially irresponsible? Intellectually stunted?? A bad parent? We can do this judgement thing all day. Remember: Everytime you point the finger at someone else, there are 4 pointing back at you. Seriously, log off and face what's really wrong with you. |
| PS: Your copy/paste responses (Ex: Poster says "You need to reflect" and you respond "You need to reflect") is further proof that you are intellectually stunted and immature. |
+1 OP is insane. |
Thank you for taking care of my light work.
Those are a whoooolllleeee lot of assumptions based on someone we know nothing about other than they're teachers and haven't been to Jamestown. |
Parents have the right to question teachers? About what? The only questions you should have should pertain to your child(ren) not what the teacher does in his/her spare time. |
Well, aren't you the POT!!!! YOU have NO background knowledge about the teachers you're judging. And the poster below you pointed out how your posts aggressively judged teachers after that initial question-which was a judgment in itself. I don't understand the teacher hate and judgement in here at all. Are parents that pissed that teachers get summers off???? |
+1 High five! |
