Are you taking off for the Day without Women?

Anonymous
I work from home. I emailed all my clients Monday that I'd be off today. I put all four kids in red shirts/dresses. DH is handling dinner. I spent the day writing to and calling politicians and donating to women-focused non-profits.

You think it is ridiculous that women can use earned leave. You think that women should be told what day they are allowed to use their earned leave?

Um. Aren't they being told just that by whoever is calling for them not to work?

No.

I don't. My DH is the SAHP. And of course i went into work today. My family relies on me and frankly i'm paid quite well and have a great job. Nothing for me to protest and I'm not into idiotic pointless statements.

Lately women are an embarrassment.

Some of us do not have spouses who "often" do the domestic grunt work.

And some of us don't have spouses at all.

Not having a spouse stops you from wearing red in March and pink in October.

No the ridiculousness of this stops me from wearing red.

Yuo. Don't want to be associated with these women and their hysterics.

I work in the ER, so, yes, I think I'm going to show up at work.

I work in a majority female department, and no one was aware of this Womens Day off. We all showed up, and of course no one wore red.

Seems like this event wasn't well organized and marketed.
