U must not be petite or short. But a size 2P is for a short and petite frame person. It's equivalent for a size 2R for those 5-4 to 5-8 or a size 2T for tall females. The 2 signifies a fit person. IOW a size 10T is just as a 10R as a 10P - none are on the thin side in a 10. |
Definitely not true. Plenty of pudgy women who are only around 5' can get into a size 0-2. Doesn't make them thin or fit. It's not the same as wearing a size 2 when you're 5'6 or so. |
Since sizes vary so widely I go by waist size. I wear a 24" jeans, am 5'3 and 112. I'm very muscular, muscle is heavy. |

She isn't tiny? That is interesting. I am 5' and between 98 and 100lb (depending on if I have my period or not or how many girl scout cookies I have eaten that week) and I get called pretty and tiny all the time. I heard both of those yesterday. So PUH-LEASE. 5' is small. |
You are the same height as her but weigh 10-12 lbs less that she does. Both of you are small in stature but only you are a small person overall. |
Perhaps she has more muscle than I do? |
+2. I am 5'1" & wore a 2P a couple of weeks after having twins when I was still carrying the most of my baby weight & definitely qualified as "chubby". Petite clothes are shorter in length but are typically about the same width as non-petite clothes the same size, brand, & style (i.e. a 2P pair of pants from Ann Taylor will have the same the waist measurement as the same style of 2R pants from Ann Taylor). |

Seriously, you don't get this?! 10-12 pounds is HUGE when you're that short. I weigh 110 as well, but I'm 5'5. |
^sorry for the double post |
d'ok I don't think it is fair say 110 lbs is "HUGE" on any height. My god. Get a grip here. |
For some of the PPs who say that taller is better/more attractive, I don't find that to be true for women at all (models excepted). I know so many tall women who can't even get a date, whereas all of the short, cute women I know are swarming with men. I think it is a real disadvantage in this country to be too tall as a woman. Maybe it's fine in the Scandinavian countries, but not in the US. |
Muscle is not heavy. It is just more compact so you can weigh more but look thinner if you're muscular. A pound is a pound no matter if it's fat or muscle, it's just that fat is sloppy and big looking and muscle is tight and firm so you look smaller. If you weigh 120 lbs but are muscular you still weigh the same as a 120 lb skinny fat girl. You just look better. |
I think that poster meant that 10-13 lbs makes a huge difference when you are that short, not that a woman who is 5'& 110 lbs is huge. |
