U must not be petite or short. But a size 2P is for a short and petite frame person. It's equivalent for a size 2R for those 5-4 to 5-8 or a size 2T for tall females. The 2 signifies a fit person. IOW a size 10T is just as a 10R as a 10P - none are on the thin side in a 10.[/quote]

Definitely not true. Plenty of pudgy women who are only around 5' can get into a size 0-2. Doesn't make them thin or fit. It's not the same as wearing a size 2 when you're 5'6 or so. [/quote]

I am 5'1" & wore a 2P a couple of weeks after having twins when I was still carrying the most of my baby weight & definitely qualified as "chubby".

Petite clothes are shorter in length  but are typically about the same width as non-petite clothes the same size, brand, & style (i.e. a 2P pair of pants from Ann Taylor will  have the same the waist measurement as the same style of 2R pants from Ann Taylor).[/quote]
