Having a hard time being friendly to neighbor

1. I haven't met one person who didn't vote for him that's happy he won.

2. Sorry for being such a cuck.

OP, neighbors have done a lot worse than yours, and deserved to be ignored. You do you.

No idea who you're addressing.

You are hysterically referring to people who don't stand for racism as "intolerant jerks".

Only a true idiot like yourself thinks tolerance applies to RACISM.

RACISM IS NEVER OKAY! And no one will ever "tolerate" your hatred of others based on their ethnic origin, race, religion (or lack thereof), gender, etc.

You're supporting a racist, you are a racist, and anyone with the slightest bit of intelligence will always judge for you for this.

OP, our neighbors are so homophobic they even wrote on their Facebook how gay people "make them sick". I swear, DH and I can hardly even make eye contact with them. I don't know how you can look past that sort of hate and ignorance with people.

You really should be ashamed of yourself for making light of racism. It's truly offensive. It's also offensive that you call people racist when they haven't done anything racist. There are actual racist things that happen in this world, but being a Trump supporter doesn't automatically make someone racist.

It just is a sign that you are absolutely fine with other people being racist if it furthers your interests. Which in a way, is even grosser and more opportunistic.

I disagree. Trump at least wants to do something to help minorities and wants to improve their schools and neighborhoods. Liberals prefer to keep the schools underperforming and to keep the neighborhoods full of crime all while throwing (nowhere near enough) tax dollars at them instead of helping them become financially secure and off public assistance programs. Why? Because they NEED the "minority vote" to win elections. Now that is something to be disgusted at. And if you don't see what is happening in front of your eyes then you're the one in denial. Not a single democrat has ever done anything to help minorities. All you guys do is pretend to care and call everyone racist when they disagree with you. It's not going to work for much longer.

Let me get this straight. So liberals allow minorities to commit crimes (I guess because inherently we are animals or something like that to you?) so we will vote for the democrats? Interesting.

Op, in case you had any lingering doubts as to whether or not you should ice out your neighbor, read some of the insanely racist ramblings from the trump supporters on this thread. If you haven't gotten enough, head over to the politics section.

This is just insane. I feel sad for my country. I had no idea it was populated with so many racist loons. Glad to know the majority did not vote for Trump.

That's all long-since straightened out, but every time I see these people I think, you secretly think my spouse is a murderer/rapist or that they should "go back." Even if they think Trump's position on Latino immigration were flawed, they are still willing to endorse a person who has those opinions. Further, none of them has ever told me they don't agree with that part of his platform or opinions. The silence is deafening. Hard to avoid the conclusion that they agree.

I don't think I will ever be able to look at them in the same way. All trust is gone. So, I steer clear now. It's sad.

No but I think you should not sneak into the country and expect free education and other benefits

+1. My parents are immigrants. My Dad studied hard to get his PHD via full scholarship and then sponsored my Mom and me to this country. We sacrificed a lot by obeying the American law. My sister was over 18 at the time and she was denied. She came 6 years later by getting a full scholarship for her master degree. I'm sorry, but we worked hard to get here through proper channel and everyone should. We never leeched off American tax payers and we continue to contribute our parts to better this great country. My family therefore have no sympathy for people taking the shortcuts and then righteously demand American taxpayers to foot the bill. You want to get the benefits this country has to offer? You work for it.

Trump's message resonate with us. All of us used to vote for democrats, but voted for Trump this time around. Not supporting Hilary is a whole different matter as what she did resembles too much of what corrrputed politicians do from where we were from, above the law, dirty tactics, under table money, pay for play, backed by huge financial machines. We don't agree with all Trump's policies and can not support some of his behaviors, however, overall score wise, he came out on top.

You should still be concerned about the anti-immigrant rhetoric that is going on right now. Two senators have introduced a bill that would cut legal immigration in half, make it impossible to sponsor some family members of legal immigrants, and would disband the "Green Card" lottery. Undocumented immigrants are just the first step. This is a strategy of decide and concur, just like the strategy for all Republican initiatives.

^^ Divide and concur, not decide.

I'm thinking that was intentional, a deft play on "divide and conquer"

You are disgraceful. The people coming here for work as house cleaners and farmers are often refugees- fleeing gang violence, extreme poverty, or war. They were not as rich as you and your father who could afford to go to school (for a Ph.D.!!!). Just because YOU had it easy (and trust me there is nothing here that indicates you struggled anymore than the average lower middle class person) doesn't mean these undocumented workers don't want to play by the rules. They just can't afford to or don't know how. Furthermore, even though they can find work here (and work really hard!), there is extremely limited ways for them to form here legally.

Your ignorant and selfish attitude is the epitome of every trump voter. And I dare say there is a great bit of racism too. You're an immigrant yourself, but you support a man who chants hateful anti-immigrant slogans at all of his rallies? Do you really think they care about you, or just see you as a bit of a convenient Uncle Tom?

As far as you not liking Hilary, this is not the politics forum so I won't get into that. But you might want to inform yourself of Trump's dealings with Russia, and his personal business dealings while president.

From one immigrant to another- maybe you should stop being so ignorant and selfish. You are a total and complete disgrace.
