Barbara Comstock a no-show at weekend town halls

Anonymous
You're using the Daily Caller as your source for news PP??? Ahhh, that explains it all. Of course there would be pieces about paid protestors and how they're a town halls are a thing of the past. Don't go looking for any articles critical of Fox News.

"The Daily Caller is an American news and opinion website based in Washington, D.C.. It was founded by Tucker Carlson, a libertarian conservative political pundit, and Neil Patel, former adviser to former Vice President Dick Cheney. The site's coverage includes politics, business, world news, entertainment, sports, education, technology, outdoors, and energy."

Does it mean the audio isn't true? Folks said the same kind of things about the Tea Party movement. Both parties do this.

Do you also complain about media outlets run by Democrats?

Everyone is so partisan. Let's be critical of the story as opposed to making ad hominem attacks just because you don't like an owner's politics. As the old saying goes, even a broken clock is right twice a day. Could be in this case?

Yeah, no. She needs to show up in public and talk to people. That is her job. She is hiding from us and thinks she can get away with this shit.

She does need to publicly talk with folks. However, it should come as no surprise that she doesn't want to engage with people that will never vote for her and will shout her down and not let her answer questions.

She's acting like a politician. Why are some people surprised?

we pay her damn salary and she is elected to represent all of us, not just the ones who agree wth her.

She and the rest of the spineless mofos need to be reminded of that.

Comstock is one of the hardest working Reps out there. She represents all us is IN HER DISTRICT.

If that were true, she'd have a real town hall. Not only the kind she can control.

No, you are wrong. Townhalls are now a thing of the past. Republicans have discovered that they can reach more constituents more effectively and give more constituents a chance to speak through teleconferencing and video-conferencing. So long as the Dems pay protesters to riot at Republican Town Halls, this is how business will be conducted. If you can reach 6,000 constituents thru a dial-in conference call why WOULD a Republican set up a town-hall meeting where only 30 people show up and a bunch of paid rabble rousers are rioting outside? Easy decision. http://dailycaller.com/2017/02/27/leaked-audio-reveals-anti-trump-forces-manufacturing-hostile-town-hall/

Republican Justin Amash from MI does them without issues and stays longer than a telephone townhall.

If he can do them in this environment, so can she.

I've been on the last two tele-townhalls with Comstock. I don't consider answering less than a dozen pre-screened questions to be reaching more constituents.

Nothing in that ridiculous daily caller article references anyone being paid. They are organized volunteers doing this on their own time. Who the hell would be paying them? You make no sense and your reading comprehension is poor.

Gee, republican operatives have never ever manipulated video or audio to fit their narrative

And Democratic and Republican operatives have never funded or been paid to support "grassroots" movements.

OMG - first candidate to ever do that

Hey Barbara, quit having your fake doctor friends call in, and DO YOUR JOB.

A) The article is from Huff Post therefore inherently unreliable
B) nowhere in the article does it say that she arranged for that doctor to call in
C) You are the libs trying to tear down everything that is good in this country. You lost the election. Grow up.
D) I gave a lot more to Barbara's campaign and no one from her campaign staff (she would not make the call herself, you idiot - that's a violation of campaign laws) call me and ask me to set up a phony question.
E) This is part of a national movement by libs to protest and disrupt all Townhalls in the United States. Don't even pretend you are posting here just against Barbara. The DC poster proves that - they aren't even in the 10th district so why would they care? Because they want to make the ignorant think Barbara is really running from these Townhalls. Shame on all of you. Become responsible citizens and change your own party and start to fix things, not tear them down.

Wait a sec, are YOU the fake doctor? Because you said "I gave a lot more to Barbara's campaign and no one from her campaign staff (she would not make the call herself, you idiot - that's a violation of campaign laws) call me and ask me to set up a phony question."

Because if so, you are just as FULL OF SHIT as your buddy Barbara, and both of you deserve to lose your jobs. And you just admitted that the article is pretty spot-on with regard to what happened.

Well, aren't you polite? No, I'm not full of shit. If you read carefully you would see that nowhere did I say I was a doctor or a faux doctor. So your reasoning is then exactly what? Try using a polite argument instead of throwing invectives next time. We all know you are DC libs flamethrowing at all town halls. No way is this directed to Barbara personally. You tried, You failed.

Actually, no, I am in Western Fairfax, right in her district, and a moderator could check the IP address to verify this. My family is in the process of moving, but most likely not before she's up for reelection. I'm actually not particularly liberal, either, but I'd never vote for her. I will, however, continue to press her to do her job, which includes showing up to town hall meetings and answering the questions of ALL of her constituents, not just the ones she "plants". IDGAF how much you gave to her campaign, but in my opinion, you should save your money or donate it to a charity that's actually doing something worthwhile. Maybe you're just butthurt that she didn't call on you to plant a question...don't worry, you'll probably get a chance!

Western Fairfax is not in the 10th Congressional district. Try again.

From Wikipedia: The district includes all of Clarke, Frederick, and Loudoun and the Independent Cities of Manassas, Manassas Park, Winchester, along with portions of Fairfax, and Prince William counties.

I'm sure all the folks in Mclean who voted for Comstock would be sad to learn that they aren't actually in her district.

We are in Western Fairfax close to the Loudoun border and are unfortunately in her district. try a map before posting next time.

She voted against accessing Trumps tax returns yesterday. I'm going to enjoy that ad.

I'm in Springfield near Lorton and Fairfax Station and I'm like 3 streets over from her district (I'm in Va-11). Half of Fairfax County is in her district. Good grief.

Wait a second. I live in FFX Co, off Centreville Road, within walking distance of Franklin MS, and I am NOT in Comstock's District? Then why the Flying F--k was the Comstock Bennett Race on my ballot this past November? And why did 4 Comstock and Bennet canvassers stop by my door every Saturday and every Sunday in the month before the election.

Could it be that you have NO IDEA what the fuck you are talking about?
