| ML didn't get any work done but Linda Tripp did. She needed it more. |
She absolutely made a bad choice and I don't think that she denies that at all. I also do think that she was in a weird situation. Most Presidents would never take the brazen risk of having an affair with a young intern - in the oval office of all places - just mind boggling stupid on his part. She was caught up in the moment and in his charisma - I can totally see how it happened. And she romanticized their relationship in her own mind. Then when the stuff hit the fan she became "That woman" and was totally shoved to the wolves to be torn apart and ruined. Did she understand just how powerful and humiliating the scandal would be when she was fooling around with Clinton? No. Did he know what a sh*t storm it would be if people found out it? Yes, absolutely. But he also thought that he was immune to discovery and that all he had to do was lie and say it never happened - paint Lewinsky like a disturbed, love struck stalker. Nice. |
I totally agree with you. I guess I'm trying to be the gray in an area that is black or white for many. No she didn't deserve what happened. Yes she did something wrong and put herself and her career at risk. No she is not a horrible person, but I have a problem with her being made the hero, and I think her "platform" is misguided. |

14:03 - you said exactly what I would have said. Error in judgment: hooking up with a married person. Error in judgment: hooking up with your boss. Much smaller error in judgment: confiding in a person with an ax to grind. (Tripp.)
So she's not blameless. But I think the punishment in this case - her life was effectively ruined for many years - way exceeded the crime. (I don't let Bill Clinton off the hook in any way. I do think people were too hard on Hillary - nobody is going to act perfectly when faced with the public airings of their husband's indiscretions. She was a victim here too.) |
+1000 Bill ruined her life. |
|
She flashed her thong at the President in the West Wing. What made her think that was a good idea?
But, I do feel for her that her life was effectively ruined at an early age. And yes, Bill was way more to blame. I will never understand why she told LT about having sex with Bill. I mean, how did that convo even start? Bill could have had anyone - she lacked discretion. At least don't talk about it! He was impeached for lying about a blowjob |
He was impeached for lying about intern sodomy in the Oval Office under oath in a separate sexual harassment lawsuit. The truthful information would have supported his prior sexual harassment victim so he perjured himself . This was after his White House slandered the intern as a "stalker" but before the emergence of the soerm stain. |
This is why Trump is gonna be a great candidate . He knows how to explain all these things so people can learn the facts about the Clintons in an easy to understand and deviating manner. Can't wait! |
| Devastating ^^ |
| Which still boils down to lying about a blowjob |
Hillary is not a victim. Long before Lewinski came along, Hillary was actively covering up her husband's affairs with women by smearing the women and arranging for her fixers to run them out of town, instead of reining her husband in. These women were collateral damage to keep the Clinton machine going and she has been benefiting at every point along the way. She's an awful person and a terrible example to women. |
Nope. It's lying under oath to deny evidence to someone you victimized . |
There really is something mentally wrong with Hillary. theres something permanently ill about her. |
| People should really let her be. I'm a Clinton fan, but I don't see why people were so hard on ML. |
| Is a blowjob considered sodomy? I'm confused about definitions here. |
