teenagers dare each other to do stupid things all the time. There is now evidence that their brains don't even fully develop till their 25.
They're sexually curious and exploring their boundaries..its up to the parents and the school to discipline them, not throw the heavy justice system at them. Girls do this kind of crap all the time too just as boys. I had another girl show me her breasts when we were 12 in the swimming pool. |
| All the hysterical posters in this thread just calls for us moving to a more socially conservative society...at this rate we should just segregate the genders like what the muslim world does. |
Well, let's see. Maryland Criminal Law Article §11–107. A person convicted of indecent exposure is guilty of a misdemeanor and is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 3 years or a fine not exceeding $1,000 or both. Nope, nothing about breasts there. Maryland Correctional Services Article §8–803. (a) Words or phrases in this section that describe the common-law crime of indecent exposure shall retain their judicially determined meanings except to the extent expressly or implicitly changed in this section. (b) An inmate may not, with intent to annoy, abuse, torment, harass, or embarrass a correctional officer or authorized personnel, lewdly, lasciviously, and indecently expose private parts of the inmate’s body in the presence of the correctional officer or authorized personnel. (c) An inmate who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 3 years or a fine not exceeding $1,000 or both. Nothing about breasts there either! Not to mention that the middle-school girl who showed her breasts to the PP's husband in middle school was presumably not an inmate at the time. |
Why such an outsized solution? A basic kindergarten rule would fix this problem: keep your hands to yourself. |
Somebody else missing the basic difference between "something I do with my own body" and "something I do with your body". |

Breasts are included sweetie. You can't whip them out unless you are breastfeeding. Otherwise the law says CRIME!

That's because 13 year olds do not go to prison. They do however get sent to juvenile detention facilities, aka baby prison. |
Great! We'll make sure no man every touches YOU. Sounds like a good plan. |
Oh good grief. |
No, the law doesn't say that. You should find a more up-to-date and reliable source for your legal information. |
|
yeah whatever. Indecent exposure in most states also include female breasts unless breastfeeding.
http://statelaws.findlaw.com/maryland-law/maryland-indecent-exposure-laws.html and that is why this lawmaker was arrested for exposing her breasts. https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/md-politics/maryland-del-ariana-kelly-arrested-for-indecent-exposure-trespassing/2015/07/14/06a29486-2a58-11e5-bd33-395c05608059_story.html So the thing is teens do stupid things all the time. |
Again, girls do this stuff too. Let's hold them accountable in the same style as boys. Then we'll see how the DCUM mommies like their daughters getting screwed over. |
Its the same concept. Its an offense for adults that can be attributed to children. |
You should learn how to read. Because the law does INDEED say that. |
Maryland must be one of the few states where they are closed. They are not closed in many states. People on DCUM have been watching too many tv shows that erroneously shows the ins and outs of the criminal justice system. |
