When I was young I used to do sleep overs with a boy my age around 6 and a 10 year old girl. I remember one night when they were sleeping over and our parents were out the girl decided we were going to play doctor. So she asked me to put my ear next to her chest. Then she put her ear next to my chest. And this went on till it went to our genitalia. I told my mother and the girl never slept over again. But now adays this would be sexual assault and harassment. the girl should have known better! This girl should be thrown into jail.
This is what happens when you ascribe a whole range of children behavior exploring their bodies and boundaries to criminalizing them. |
It actually is exactly what happened. The county prosecutor dropped the charge and gave that as the reason. |
People keep saying that, but as an assertion without supporting evidence. It sure isn't a criminal offense in the State of New York. Google desnuda Times Square. |
So when a teenager grabs another teenager's shirt and sticks their tongue in that teenager's mouth, you call that "exploring their bodies and boundaries"? |
I call that bad judgment. |
I call it assault. |
| I don't care what you call it. A 13 year old doesn't need to be turned over to the police for an unwelcome kiss. A grown man wouldn't be. This sort of unwelcome kiss gets man a face-slap, not an arrest. |
If this happens to me at my work place, I am calling the cops. |
You are an adult. Jeez. You obviously do to know any 13 yr old, boys or girl. Mom to 2 girls and 1 boy - all teens. Would want an apology and discuss PRIVATELY with patrents |
I have a now adult daughter and would support her at any age in pressing criminal charges against someone who assaulted her. Nice message you are sending your children about women's bodies. |
Yep, throw them all in jail chemically castrate! Have we gone nuts people. These are CHILDREN. |
Wait? Now the 13 yr girl is a woman? Is the boy now a man? I'm confused. |
"an unwelcome kiss"? |
Nobody is talking about jail or chemical castration. |
It is possible to respect women's bodies and still believe that children are children and should not be prosecuted in this manner. The two are not mutually exclusive. |
