If commute isn't a factor and you do not have a language preference then pick the easier language to support for your family. |
Says someone that is on WL for MV
|
Lol! I have a kid at YY in a "closed" upper grade. |
| I'd say go with MV. More useful language in the US. |
Agree, and also one that is easier to support. |
PP is choosing between CMI and MV. |
What is a "closed" upper grade? |
| Yu Ying only takes new students up to 2nd grade so no new students/lottery spaces in grades 3, 4 and 5. |
| Why is it that LAMB doesn't have to take kids past pk4, but MV does? Curious, love both schools. |
It's part of their charter, and due to the Montessori. Kids need to start young. |
MV may decide to cut off later entrants at some point, but not while they are still growing. |
It's not a decision that MV can make. It would require charter amendment. |
It would never be approved. LAMB' exemption wouldn't be approved if they were to open today. They are grandfathered. Other, newer montessoris would not be able to get approved now either. |
MV chooses to do so; YY chooses not to. Each charter can choose. |
Oops, that should read LAMB, not YU (though applies to YY too) |
