| WHICH SCHOOL? |
|
You guys are so odd. I taught school (kindergarten and second grade) in a private school in Hawaii. The kids took their shoes off when they got to school and put then on a rack by the door. They didn't put them on again until they left for the day. They were barefooted all day long, including recess.
In the four years I taught there, I don't remember anyone hurting their feet. |
What? No, you are completely insane. I am a parent who has today off, walked the kids to school and saw them take off shoes before entering. I am not a teacher, please do not call out any teacher!! Poster, you are really nuts. |
A field trip, to Ethiopia or Ghana, all expenses paid by MCPS. Participation required in order to graduate from elementary school. |
oops, I wrote this, and I see I really need to proofread before posting! |
PP. you do seem to be the type of parent who should be ignored. Not only did you jump to the wrong conclusion, you then used it as a basis for insults. |
Figure it out. It's one of two schools going from the posts above. What does it matter if it's not your kids' school. This doesn't make for interesting gossip. I think it's great. Sounds fun and forces kids to put themselves in other people's shoes, so to speak. |
| I think it was great!! |
? There are 133 elementary schools in MCPS. |
Or, send shoes to Ethiopia. For the kids going barefoot today it will be a novelty. Follow it up with some sort of fundraiser/auction to buy shoes to send to Ethiopia. |
This whole exchange was hilarious. I loved that the person talking about Marx didn't even read the text, or read it and didn't even recognize it as possibly the most famous words in history, and mistook them for Marx's words. Hilarious!!! |
| I can't believe no one will say which school. |
| This is DCUM. If you expect facts/evidence/truth, find another cite. |
| Chevy Chase Elementary |
PP was wrong - that does make for interesting gossip.
