Anyone else hate goat cheese?

YES. Lamb has such a disgusting aftertaste.

Goat cheese is vile. Same with anything made with sheep’s milk. I like feta if it’s made with cows milk - but the authentic stuff made with goat/sheep makes me instantly heave.

Actually for a really great grilled cheese, that is the perfect cheese to use, along with a little bit of cheddar. But I understand you were trying to insult those of us who don’t like goat cheese. People like you are so two dimensional and boring. It is possible to appreciate appropriately used Kraft singles AND more sophisticated cheeses as well. And goat cheese is hardly the only “high class” cheese on the market. But do go on eating your super trendy goat cheese and beet salads, hoping people notice how “sophisticated” you are.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!! Enjoy life in your trailer park.

I’m going to make myself a grilled cheese with American cheese right now just to make you even more mad...

Yum! Don't forget the tomato soup.

With canned Campbell’s tomato soup, no less...I think snobby PP’s head might just explode...

Sorry we can't all be as sophisticated as you Loudoun county people.

I am SO glad I'm not alone in absolutely loathing goat cheese and goats milk! I didn't realize for a long time that this what would make me gag when I ate something. I was in Mexico when I first tasted "cajeta". Out lovely hostess served this dessert made with communion wafers and a filling that looked like caramel sauce. I eagerly took a bite and gagged and had to leave the room to spit it out and I nearly vomited. My 2 American friends loved it and wanted to know where they could buy jars of this cajeta to take back to the states. On another occasion I tried some ice cream that looked like it had ribbons of caramel and nuts. One bite and I gagged. I found out the caramel was cajeta also. I have since discovered that cajeta is made with goats milk! And now I can't stand the taste of anything that has goat cheese or goats milk in it and I can always tell if something has goat cheese or goats milk in it. And no, it doesn't matter what kind it is or how fresh it is - it all smells and tastes like you licked a wet goat. FOODS WITH GOAT CHEESE SHOULD COME WITH A WARNING LABEL (like things that have nuts in them) for those of us who find the taste (and smell) truly offensive.

Yes and I really love strong cheese and have an adventurous palate but I just can't do goat cheese. Even if it looks good and should work, the second it's in my mouth I'm done.

I know this is an old thread but I had no clue people didn’t like goat cheese. If I see goat cheese on an entree I’m more likely to order it. I can’t get enough of it.

Yep, i'm with the gagging crew. It's not a matter of dislike or undophisticated palate; it's just vile. I totally respect aversion to cilantro (which I can't get enough of!).

My people!

I hate goat cheese so much that I refused to let it be served at my wedding.

I don't even like cheese but I can still eat goat cheese in moderation. At work they put goat cheese into dates.

I used to like it, but one time I got a beet salad with goat cheese and later that night I had projectile vomiting. I’m not sure if it was the goat cheese, but I can’t even smell it now without gagging.

I can't imagine anyone not loving goat cheese. It's beets that makes me want to vomit. I have tried and tried but just can't tolerate them.
