Anyone else hate goat cheese?

I’ve found my people. Goat cheese tastes utterly vile, and I too get annoyed when people try to put it in some dish make it seem sophisticated. Although I do love feta and blue cheese-as long as they are made with cows milk.

Yes! I love cheese of almost all types, but hate goat cheese. I lived in a foreign country where there were goats at playgrounds and I noticed that they have a very distinct smell to them. I have nothing against goats, but now I think the cheese smells like the goats.

Hate goat, bleu and brie. Love cheddar, colby jack, parmesan, mexican cheeses, feta, and all kind of other flavored cheeses like horseradish and onions and chive etc,. I am very pleb!

On the other hand, I also do not like raw oysters.

Cannot stand goat cheese or blue cheese. Having either after I've requested "no cheese" is the only thing that will cause me to send food back.

Ha! Now I've learned from this thread to say I'm allergic if a restaurant tries to serve up goat cheese.

The stuff is vile.

By the way, have you tried tasting human milk? It's also vile.

OP and PPs who don’t like goat cheese - have you tried really fresh goat cheese? There are some cheese makers who sell at area markets. The cheese is usually made on Friday for weekend sales. It doesn’t have the funkiness that supermarket cheese has. I never buy any other kind of fresh goat cheese. Give it a try before you make up your minds for good!

Yes, that was my point, PP. I prefer cow's milk hard cheeses to goat's mill hard cheeses.

Actually for a really great grilled cheese, that is the perfect cheese to use, along with a little bit of cheddar. But I understand you were trying to insult those of us who don’t like goat cheese.
