Locals have complained to the area's congressman that the Bundyites are setting up armed checkpoints. These allegations were recounted in a letter to the sheriff of Clark County NV (where Las Vegas is) -- Bunkerville is in extreme NE Clark County almost on the Utah border and is about 1:15 northeast of Las Vegas.

I fear the Clark County Sheriff is outgunned by these individuals.

I wouldn't expect the Tea Party to be vocal about Bundy's racist remarks. However, I would expect them to vocalize contempt about Bundy's militia pulling weapons on government authorities and stating he does not recognize the U.S. government because he owes money.

Name me one, just one, group of people if they had met federal authority with weapons if they would have been left standing.

You've got an band of some 200-300 people more heavily armed than local law enforcement and whatever the Feds have on hand nearby (I suppose they could call in the FBI or the Border Patrol for equal civilian firepower).

I don't think the feds should get involved. Let the local police deal with it. It will be interesting to see how these anti fed, I hate the BML will all get a long with out the fed stepping. I hope Bundy starts charging a "fee" to pass his checkpoint. LOL
