Right-wingers just can't catch a break. Their latest hero turns out to be a complete racist.

Mr. Bundy recalled driving past a public-housing project in North Las Vegas, "and in front of that government house the door was usually open and the older people and the kids — and there is always at least a half a dozen people sitting on the porch — they didn’t have nothing to do. They didn’t have nothing for their kids to do. They didn’t have nothing for their young girls to do.

"And because they were basically on government subsidy, so now what do they do?" he asked. "They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never learned how to pick cotton. And I’ve often wondered, are they better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy? They didn’t get no more freedom. They got less freedom."

So, the guy who grazes his cattle on federal land without paying grazing fees is concerned about others getting a government subsidy and thinks "Negros" were better off as slaves.

Not to mention his family wasn't even on that land til the 1950s (vs the 5 generations, going back to Mexico that he claimed), and didn't have grazing rights til later.

I think they both think the issue is BLM tactics=--not praise of Bundy.

I have never defended Bundy. I have said from the beginning that he is wrong. I don't like the actions of the BLM. That has been my stand from the beginning on this.

The BLM issue is bullshit. If one did away with the BLM and just let who ever was the most heavily armed exploits the land, Bundy would be crying. How about this, let's sell all the federal land, make it private. Try to get access to the land after that... they already have issues with developers trying to privatize of river fronts and stream beds.
