This is the worst possible confluence of events. I feel for you!

God forbid you have to spend some time with your children! Snow days with kids are the best. I know I'll get crap for this, but really, appreciate it.

Oh shut up! She's probably spent the other 10 snow days we've had this year with her kids and now wants some time alone with her husband. That's not a crime.

That's why you don't plan a staycation anytime in the winter!

I just don't know if there's a Lego set or Michaels craft that we haven't done. And now it's too late to find something on Amazon Prime. Ill pull out the last of the 1000 piece puzzles from the back of the closet that I never ever thought we'd get to. Off the get ingredients for Ina's Beef Stew. Preparation is key.

Oh shut it. I'm a conservative who totally believes our climate change is man-made and that we must take steps to counter it. I even believe in evolution, imagine that. So take your republican-bashing and stick it.

Hold your horses. One, where did the poster say Republicans--he/she said HALF the country. Which is about right, since about 54% of Americans believe in human caused climate change.

Further, even if she had said Republicans, she would be close to right. About 11% of democrats don't believe in climate change, while a whopping 58% of Republicans don't.

So don't get mad at other people for pointing out the obvious and factual.

to 7:10, I seriously think I love you! (and hope you're a woman )

It over if NOAA issues something like that...run for the stores!

Too bad they don't sell a box of sanity. Oh wait, they do! It's in the liquor section.

Ok, so you're not in denial about climate change, but you are in denial about your party's position on it. Careful not to choke on the sand.

Oh good grief. Is it so hard to imagine that someone could get plenty of great time with their children but be in desperate need of time alone with their spouse? You know, strong marriages are good for children, too.

Most likely 4-8 inches per National Weather Service.

I love this site - scroll down and click on "Switch to Exceedence" too to see a different perspective on possible totals.

I thought Al Gore was in charge of global warming. Is he asleep in the break room again or what? AL!!!! WAKE UP!!!!

people are so dumb! Stop acting like global warming= hot weather instead of global warming=extreme weather, it isn't freaking rocket science!!

Not dumb, but in denial. If they make jokes about Al Gore they think the problem will go away. Global warming, if you truly understand is, is extremely scary. It could, literally, mean the end of human kind.

I do understand it, but am a realist about our abilities and willingness to make the EXTREME changes we would need to. Never going to happen.

Because few people are wiling to recognize it's a real problem. Because no one holds anyone's feet to the fire. Because we let half the country keep their heads in the sand regarding science.

It's hard to hold people's feet to the fire when you've got a Polar Vortex baring down on year arse...EEEEEK!
