Thank you for the cooler temps in 2014. I sincerely hope we can count on them in July and August as well? It seems only fair.

This past summer I said several times that we were going to pay for the beautiful weather we had -- temps in the 80s and low humidity. I think we already got our bonus summer weather and I am scared that this coming summer is going to be blazing!

i don't know what part of the country you were in this past summer but it was effin sweltering here. i remember at least 2 weeks out of summer there were record high temps nearly the entire week.

Yeah, I remember that, too. Mid-July when my kids were both in outdoor camps!

NP. We did have a run of sweltering and humid days days....

Washington, D.C. set a record for the longest streak above 80 degrees, running warmer than that mark for 138 hours – or over five and a half days – from July 15 through July 21.

BUT

It wasn’t just unsurprisingly cooler than the previous three monsters, but measurably cooler – and we anticipated that.

I thought Al Gore was in charge of global warming. Is he asleep in the break room again or what? AL!!!! WAKE UP!!!!

people are so dumb! Stop acting like global warming= hot weather instead of global warming=extreme weather, it isn't freaking rocket science!!

Not dumb, but in denial. If they make jokes about Al Gore they think the problem will go away. Global warming, if you truly understand is, is extremely scary. It could, literally, mean the end of human kind.

Did Al Gore transfer to the Climate Change Department? If so, maybe that's why no one is picking up in Global Warming....

I do understand it, but am a realist about our abilities and willingness to make the EXTREME changes we would need to. Never going to happen.

Because few people are wiling to recognize it's a real problem. Because no one holds anyone's feet to the fire. Because we let half the country keep their heads in the sand regarding science.

Oh the memories. I was 9 months pregnant and the AC in our car was broken.

This is the worst possible confluence of events. I feel for you!

Oh shut it. I'm a conservative who totally believes our climate change is man-made and that we must take steps to counter it. I even believe in evolution, imagine that. So take your republican-bashing and stick it.

What is it about our location here in the DC area that puts us so often on the rain-snow line?

God forbid you have to spend some time with your children! Snow days with kids are the best. I know I'll get crap for this, but really, appreciate it.

Hold your horses. One, where did the poster say Republicans--he/she said HALF the country. Which is about right, since about 54% of Americans believe in human caused climate change.

Further, even if she had said Republicans, she would be close to right. About 11% of democrats don't believe in climate change, while a whopping 58% of Republicans don't.

So don't get mad at other people for pointing out the obvious and factual.

Oh shut up! She's probably spent the other 10 snow days we've had this year with her kids and now wants some time alone with her husband. That's not a crime.

It's just going to be rain. No ice.

My weather app says it will be 30 degrees overnight on Sunday into Monday. Any precipitation won't be rain, my friend.
