Reported Neighbor That Allows Pet Feces to Accumulate in Yard

Anonymous
This post is from 2014.

But actually timely as I'm in the same boat right now. We got our back yard set up for outdoor gatherings, but I won't have anyone over because it reeks of dog shit.

Not OP, but on OP's side: I can't believe there are so many people defending someone's right to have a yard piled up with dog crap. Who are you people?

Weird, right? I am a pp above who reported a poop offender -- the attitude of the tenant and then their landlord when I tried to resolve this with them directly rather than take it up with the city is pretty reflective of all of these MYOB responses.

There are some awesome dog owners, but some dog owners are real jerks. Let their dog poop everywhere, let them run around off leash on public property (that isn't a dog park). I'm noticing a new trend of people bringing their precious doggies into stores (not service animals). Were you people raised by wolves? You love your dog and that's great, but you should never force others to deal with your dog - crap, or otherwise.

Don’t move to Europe. Dogs (not just service dogs) are allowed everywhere, even public transportation. They are allowed in stores, etc.

DC treats this rather seriously. Accumulated dog poop is a draw for rats, as they will consume the feces.

Tons of discussions about this on Popville, as it can become an infestation for adjoining properties:

Same with Baltimore.

This thread is seven (!!!) years old. I very much doubt that OP is still living in this area, or reads this board.

You sound like a shit stirrer, OP. Pun intended. Chances are, you do not know who you are dealing with. You don't sound very bright. Do you really want to live next door to someone you complained about?

Can you afford to move? If not, shut it.

You’re both dumb, rats live everywhere.

this is the trigger. rats are a sanitation and health issue. Tell them you see rats.
