To all who have a problem with MO CO changing demographics

I am the poster who took the Masters in public policy class and my only posts were 15:27, 15:30, 23:22, 23:32, and 23:38 so please don't assume it is all the same person posting.

I seriously doubt the person with the conspiracy theory is an Asian. My take on this whole thing is that it is some white guy who is seriously pissed off that Asians are doing so well. Apparently sucks to be you.

I'm the poster from the Ivy business school. I'm pretty convinced she's Asian. Otherwise why would she think ending math acceleration is a "white conspiracy against Asians"? If you're right, wouldn't she be secretly rooting the so-called white guys on, instead of outing them on DCUM?

I think we can agree on one thing: she's got bad paranoia.

Let's try that again with better formatting:

So, so wrong. Liberal democrat and top 3 Ivy for graduate school, thank you very much. I just happen to think you're a horrible writer and absolutely nuts.

??? Is there a point or question in this for the poster? From your message the poster you continually evade is an Asian, liberal democrat from a top 3 graduate school who hates Asians, is anti-Asian and can't type or format or write. She hangs out on the dcum Asian college forum posting about Harvard her alma mater? But how is it possible to graduate from Harvard and not know how to write?

Quick mental status check (you get a 4th try):

Is there a widening achievement and performance gap between Asian Americans and European Americans (whites) in Montgomery County and in MCPS?

Take your time. This is an open book test (programmable calculators are permitted)

I just think the person is a troll. And wants to get the white parents all freaked out that the Asians are getting ahead. Seriously - the tone of the posts scream white male.

OK, troll is definitely a possibility. Maybe it's time to leave this thread!

New poster

Does it really matter if she is White, Asian, Black, Hispanic or Other? She was correct about the widening performance and achievement gap between Asians and all the rest in the County. You were not. I think she is correct about the MCPS decision makers not reflecting or representing the rapidly diverse students and clients the school system serves? If this is the case, she may have legitimate concerns about the motives behind some of the policy decisions and she has raised them?

Does it really matter what race or ethnicity she is? The facts are the facts. The concerns are the concerns.

Is that the point of the thread here OP: "To all who have a problem with MO CO changing demographics"

I wonder whether many here do have a problem with MO CO changing demographics?

Troll -- or b@tsh!t crazy.

Nice sock puppetting, 9:18. But you can't hide your bad grammar and absurd writing style.

If you support MCPS math pathways, please join a group of us just starting out. We have a Facebook page to gather supporters. We are parents of children who need the math acceleration that the county is dropping.

I'm not the poster you are responding to but a few things.

The posters background is insignificant, I agree with you. However, don't let the poster get away with putting up the strawman about whether or not certain groups perform better than other groups. It does not matter.

It still does not address the issue with the overwhelming numbers of the so called "old guard" who benefit from acceleration. Its a huge leap to say there is a conspiracy against a certain group in light of the fact that the policy would hurt the children of the "old guard" also.

Please check the accuracy of your facts. Which poster used the term conspiracy. Cite the facts and use accurate attributions -- not the words and terms of graduates of public policy and business. If the College Board in 2012 can almost get away with a stunt as described what is so sacred and honorable about MCPS? These educational leaders and experts take down 7 figure incomes. They should be able to answer hard questions and respond to concerns straight up and without evasion. Evasive tactics simply create more probing questions. Who do you think these guys are accountable to? We all seem to quickly forget failure to hold these policy makers has brought down the entire world on her economic knees while enriching the bank accounts of a few.

If its not a conspiracy what do you attribute it to? Group think?
