Most annoying Christmas Cards

Anonymous
We get one of those brag sheets from our old neighbors, a family with 3 kids. The parents always brag about 2 of the kids, but not about the 3rd kid, who happens to be a really nice, productive person, but a bit of a sad sack. Every year, we make sure we send a special email to the 3rd kid, asking her what she's up to and telling her about our own lives (without mentioning her family's brag sheet). Hate that mailing.

And to weigh in on the original debate - I love holiday cards, all of them. Handwritten note or no. Expensive card stock or cheapies. Whatever. I'm glad you thought of me and my family and it warms my heart to think of you when I receive your card.

Same here. I love all kinds of holiday cards. Even a flat photo card takes time to send and I enjoy seeing photos of my friends and/or their kids. Not all my friends plaster their kids photos all over the place on FB so it's nice to see how much the kids have grown over the year. Plus I don't think one or two lines of generic written notes and signatures add much value to the card.

Beach photos are fine for your bedroom (private, please - even if you are clothed!) But NOT for a holiday card! Stop the cloning of Christmas cards - just say "no" and get an ORIGINAL idea!

I love photos as much as the next person, but I take them for the *family* not for the masses.

I like any card I receive. For someone to take the time out to mail a card (except companies - those go in the trash) is nice and thoughtful.

We don't celebrate Christmas, but I do give out cards that say 'Happy Holidays' to friends that do. I don't care if I receive cards that say Merry Christmas, etc.

I often keep cards, especially photo cards of family or close friends.

I am curious...what goes on your Christmas card?

holiday cards are fucking pointless. Waste of resources, waste of time for both parties. we ALREADY know you have been doing on a day to day basis from facebook, instagram, twitter, etc etc etc.

What about the whole family on bed, hardly clothed, with white sheets?

What says KLASSY better than that?

And not just ANY KLASSY!

Wow.

Couldn't you have written this on one of the active holiday card threads? Why dig up one a year old?

This is a thing? People actually pose on the bed partially clothed? Seriously?

^^ THE WINNER. You are so right! And idiots frame them. And I've seen them at open houses - framed on the wall! Don't they know that a gazillion people get those and that they mean absolutley nothing?
