Usually I'm skeptical about these claims of racism but it's hard to make sense of why there are sooooo many just plain stupid conspiracy theories out there about Obama otherwise. I think a fair bit of it is unconscious racism. People don't believe they're prejudice but they're more likely to believe stupid theories about a black man with a foreign name than they would about a white man with an Anglo-American name. Yeah Bush had the "truthers" but there's a lot fewer of them out there.

Yeah, it is so sweet that the National Enquirer (your choice of reliable journalism) is now reporting that Todd Palin has been banging a prostitute. Is this the point where we are supposed to say "Life Happens" or should we go with "Not that big of a deal and kind of sweet"? I guess a lot of life is happening, the snowmobile salesman, playgirl model, and prostitute coming and going at all hours of the night.

I was off in the make-believe world of the NY Times, WashPost, and DCUM, isolated from the real world of the National Enquirer, which Google tells me had the story. At least the supposed paramour is hot-looking.
