Well he sure did a heck of a better job putting the Arizona shooting into perspective. 80% of the population thought so, even over 70% of Republicans. And yet most people did not like Palin's handling of it. So he was smarter than her on this one.

It's the smugness. She's about twice as smug as Michael Moore and he's pretty damn smug. I can just barely put up with him and I agree with a lot of his politics.

Huckabee on the other hand is very dangerous because the guy is flat out charming and amusing. I can't stand his politics but I still find him adorable. That's because he has learned to relate to the average American without being insufferably smug!

Oh and I should have added, that I don't dislike her for class reasons. I've always defended her against class-based slurs on DCUM. It's just her attitude that grates.

I don't understand how people can consider her a screeching moronic harridan who preaches abstinence while her brood spawn bastards like there is no tomorrow, and whose very presence on the national stage demonstrates just how far we, as a nation, have fallen from the days of Washington, Jefferson and Adams.

Adams certainly didn't have syphilis or slaves. Nor did Jefferson or Adams hate Europe. None of them left England, being born here. And if you read what they have to say about Christianity you will see that they certainly didn't practice "unbridled christianity - see the Jefferson bible, for instance.
