| MAGA wants to dress up in tactical gear and kill people. We saw them do this in J6. This is what they truly want. They want to kill minorities and liberals because Rupert Murdoch has convinced them that they are the cause of all their problems. The evangelical churches just further reinforce that message. |
And all other earnings, even by the little people, come from where, exactly? Thin air, or from those who pay them for their labor? It's the exact same thing, only the scale is different. Admit it, you're merely jealous of those who are worth more and who have been compensated accordingly. |
Does MAGA actually think “we should honor billionaires more” is a winning political strategy? |
Anyone who is not MAGA and not drinking the kkkool aid is miserable watching a criminal destroy our country. But please continue with your ignorant FOX news messaging. |
This and yet all through the thread they say they are happy people....ummm no. |
Scarcity is not a mindset -- it's a fact of life. Valuable resources are scare -- that's what make them valuable. And as automation and AI eliminate millions of jobs for Americans, jobs will become increasingly scarce. Which is exactly why we need to stop importing a million+ people every year (and that's just the legal immigration) who will be looking for those increasingly scarce jobs and competing Americans and their children. Sadly (in my view) technology is progressing to the point where so much will be automated and done by robotics/AI, that there will be far fewer job opportunities for humans. None of us can stop it. But what we can do is stop making the problem worse for Americans workers; stop importing a million foreigners looking for jobs every year. |
From the people who buy the products or services. You can’t possibly be this dimwitted. |
No silly, policy could fix all our ills and have a productive rollout of AI but the GOP doesn’t do policy. Trump has made income inequality as bad as it was during the lead up to the French Revolution. Riches are concentrated in the silicone valley elite but they’re all gonna tell you it’s poor black and illegal immigrants who are taking your money. |
We’re quickly reaching the point of no return where it won’t matter what the population is. If immigration is curtailed, those jobs are going to get replaced by robots, not Americans. In a post-labor AI world, there won’t be jobs for anyone except a dwindling class of stateless oligarchs who own everything. |
Obviously we’re just jealous that we can’t participate in a global child sex trafficking ring! |

To the person who said conservatives are happier than liberals, you are right that was some research that said exactly this. But here’s the thing: it was pre-MAGA. A lot of the people who identified as conservatives then have left the GOP.
The MAGA movement does not, to me, seem especially happy. People are happy at Trump rallies, that’s true, but more in a religious ecstasy way. Not that people on the left seem happy now, but you’d expect that given the times. |

Happiness really shouldn’t be political. Most of us can find it in the people around us and small everyday things.
If your happiness depends on a leader who doesn’t know who you are and doesn’t care about you, you’re in a cult. If your happiness comes from the suffering of others, you’re living in Omelas (and/or are a sociopath). |
That would be a dire outcome, indeed. Nonetheless, such a case would only present an even stronger argument for a complete and total immigration moratorium. We do not need to be importing millions of new arrivals when "there won't be jobs for anyone." And it most certainly matters what the population is. 300 million unemployed people in country of 350 million is far better than 800 million unemployed people in a country of 850 million. It's not complicated. When you're in a sinking ship, don't pour more water into the boat. |
If we find ourselves in a situation where 500 million people could plausibly enter the US, jobs are the least of our worries. |
| AI is taking all the jobs, not immigrants. That’s what we should be pushing back on. |
