Vt doesn't have ED

What major?

DS waitlisted. 3.9 gpa, 1320 SAT and it was probably a reach but not his top choice. He is accepted at all 5 of the other schools he applied to so lots of good choices. Good luck to all!

Which school did he apply to?

So happy for my niece - VT was her first choice bar none and she was accepted!! Not sure what her exact stats were, but she was a top student at a NOVA public and had lots of leadership. She is thrilled!!

Engineering instate…

Me again as there have been many comments-thanks for support. 14 IB/AP classes, we’re still in shock here.

Varsity athlete, lots of volunteer work, ECs related to personal engineering projects. I will say-think essays were okay-not exceptional. But still aligned with VT values. Only thing truly lacking was real leadership.

In to Pitt (honors and 20K merit a year) in to UTK , in to Alabama. Waiting on UVA, GT and northeastern.

Have them apply to Purdue

OOS admission last year: 58.7%
In state: 47.3%

In!

Only In-State public option DC was even considering. Guess we'll have to make a visit to Blacksburg! I've been many times as brother, his wife, many friends of mine and DC's are alum but somehow, that campus didn't make our 'visit' list.

Has anyone been accepted on their FB parents page? My request is pending but perhaps I need to be more patient, lol.

PP:Guess I should've added stats, since that seems to be of interest.

RVA Public, 1400s submitted, 4.0UW/4.5W, JROTC leadership, Drum Major, 20hr/wk PT job, church/volunteer missions.

Not engineering or business.

Other schools of interest: the SEC palette!

My kid has similar stats including IB and engineering, also wait listed.

Your kid probably has a strong likelihood of being admitted off the waitlist.

Don’t panic. A few years ago, mine was deferred/rejected at Miami and got into UNC OOS, UVA, etc. Probably just a very irritating glitch in the process. Good luck!!

In FCPS 3.6 Not many EC's. 1490 SAT

Pp, that’s amazing! Sons BF from FCPS has a 3.8 and was waitlisted from one of the easier majors to get into.

It sounds like everyone got in or waitlisted. Any rejections or deferrals?
