Any chance it will go from a delay to closure?
Fingers crossed.

No chance!

I was one of the people calling for a delay. Don’t think we’ll get a closure. The issue is kids out before it’s light out and ice…

Why not?

Why would schools need to be closed completely?

If you think we need a full closure tomorrow you should move further south

Yes, there is a chance. The email sent to staff says they will reevaluate at 7 am. They did not include that in the email to parents.

Why would you have your fingers crossed this? It seems like a dumb way to waste a snow day.

Start wasting them now and we will have an extended school year. No thanks.

Yeah it doesn't really make sense to close. A delay is a conservative choice, but not crazy. Closure would be crazy.

I also called for a delay and don’t want a closure.

I live in a different county. After out kids were on buses for hours and one of my coworkers was in a bad accident last time, it seems prudent.

But we only have one emergency closure day. I don’t want to use it in December.

There will be ice 2 hours later. What does a delay get you?

How is it not crazy? I really don't understand this one.

It makes about as much sense as a delay.

This was the right call. As the parent of a new driver I am glad we don’t have to worry about this in the morning. Thanks for the early announcement Taylor!

You know the roads are fine, though, don't you? The only difference will be light. Are you going to demand delays until the days get longer?
