Message was just sent out. Activities in school facilities on Sunday Nov 14 is cancelled. They will have an update tomorrow evening regarding if and what effect on schools for Monday

A 2h delay on Monday would be amazing for HS students. They are all so short on sleep

Yeah. Meanwhile although I would love a short day for my ES kids, 11:25 is such an absurdly late starts. One of mine is up at 5am every day.

Betting we get a delay tomorrow due to ice. Oh well. My kid is home with the flu anyway so at least it’s less instruction they’ll miss… kind of hoping they cancel so the instrumental music concert gets moved, but that’s selfish on my part…

So they don’t have to pay staff overtime to come and clean up snow. So they don’t have to find staff willing to come in and do it.

Definitely a delay tomorrow. Not moving above freezing and much more snow in Damascus than the rest of MoCo.

If today was a school day, would it have been a closure or 2 hr delay? There's 1-3 inches in some parts of the county and cold temps.

Here we go. People not understanding that the county received various snow amounts. When you have some schools get close to 5 inches of snow overnight, you close the facilities while the roads and lots get cleared.

Closure. They would not have known the final amounts when they needed to make the call since it was still snowing in the predawn hours.
