Usha will always be considered an interloper in the body MAGA, so whether or not she tries to mold herself into the ideal MAGA woman, and chooses to religiously abide by the sartorial conventions of the Second Lady, she's never going to belong, because of her skin color. MAGA's first belief system is a racist one. She could be a charismatic Second Lady to the moderate center, but I don't think she has that personality. JD Vance is not the MAGA heir and never was. He was pushed into the VP spot by Silicon Valley billionaires in exchange for millions of dollars in support of the Trump Presidential campaign, in an attempt to steer the ship away from MAGA extremes and into good business. This has so far failed in the tariff arena, but it has achieved some success in the rollback of financial regulations, environmental restrictions, tax supervision, etc.

Interestingly, Trump has always had an awkward VP. Pence was the key to the religious right. He wasn't MAGA either.

Yeah, in India they do. In America it’s very common for Indian women to wear the traditional wedding and engagement ring in the left hand. Few Indian Americans wear an mangalsutra daily. And Usha has been wearing her ring all along.

Do you have data on this? I know plenty of Indian Americans who wear both or just the mangalsutra.

She is plain. I don't like the MAGA look but she would do well to at least slap on some makeup when she's being photographed.

She's started to in recent weeks and looks very good. I think she is pretty and has the potential to be beautiful she just doesn't make an effort.

She really isn't plain, she super understates her attractiveness. Maybe she has self esteem problems,maybe she wants to be known for her intelligence...but she married JD and is seemingly enarmoured by him. Look at her admiring look in that picture!

Yes! People make it seem like Usha is a poor unfortunate soul who is being manipulated by JD. If anything, Usha has the upper hand, and it would be interesting to see what her true intentions are. I don't trust her any more than I trust JD. She is definitely ruthless and cutthroat.
