I don’t think she’s a victim but how does she have the upper hand? Jd could be with Erika Kirk next year and what would Usha have to show for it? |
A book and the accompanying publicity tour about being an aggrieved wife left for a man-eating skank, which you idiots would buy into hook, line, and sinker. |
She would have notoriety and an independent, visible platform she might have found difficult attaining on her own. She's always been smart enough, but that might not have been enough to obtain such a high-level, visible profile, especially at such a young age. She would have a decent amount of flexibility as well, as not much is known about her personally. |
Nobody will give a rat’s behind about Usha once JD dumps her. |
Correct. MAGA would not buy anything from her and Democrats will laugh at her plight. |
But she's a very high profile woman who gets photographed everywhere. She certainly knew people would talk - and if she didn't she either has terrible instincts or a terrible staff. Logic says she knows exactly what she's doing. Obviously her husband wants the dark widow. But being the second lady, Usha needs to deal with things more subtly. |
You're not the Second Lady of the United States and hyper aware of your image in public at all times. |
James DONALD. His name given at birth was James Donald Bowman and I insist you use it at all times. It's against my religion and moral beliefs to use his preferred nickname. |
Yes and no. I don't think the general public will care about her, but in DC she will always have a certain currency because she has seen and participated in the operations of the vice-presidency. All the campaigning, the inauguration, the intermingling with donors, the day to day events of the Second Lady, staffing, etc., give her an extra layer of experience that some will value in DC. If she divorced JD during his vice-presidency, she could leave and say not much about it and probably be accepted by all but the Maga crowd. She would easily find a job at a DC law firm or go back to the one she was at previously, and she is well-qualified for it having clerked for 2 SCOTUS justices. She would get a hefty sign on bonus and perhaps enter as a partner. She would retain at least half custody probably more on at least a de facto basis due to JD's work and travel obligations, and JD would pay child support (but maybe not alimony - or only alimony until she went back to work - not sure she can negotiate a new job while she is still sitting in the VP mansion and married.) She could file and just say nothing publicly, and she would have quite a good negotiating position against JD in terms of coming to a settlement agreement on the marriage, equity and child custody and support. So, TBH, if she wants to leave, she can leave quite easily, and it says quite a bit about her if she stays, especially after the course of the last year. She could also remarry someone extremely wealthy. |
I don't think anyone who is sighted truly believes Usha is "hyper aware of her image." The woman frequently goes out looking unkempt. Jewelry is not at the forefront of her mind like Melania's. |
Then she'll go and get a much hotter man like Mary Vote did. |
Who? |
I mean, hotter is subjective, and JD is pretty ugly so it wouldn't be harder to pull someone hotter than him. But she's also ugly, so. |
| Usha who?? |
| Maybe Hindus don't wear a ring? Vance wants her to be a Christian. |
