Spanberger 2028

I would love for the GOP to nominate Youngkin! He has the personality and charisma of styrofoam! He won because Terry McCauliffe was a terrible candidate. Youngkin would not even win Virginia.

Virginia Gov. Spanberger has repealed EO 47, which ends Virginia's participantion in the federal 287(g) progam, ending state and local law enforcement partnerships with ICE.

Every self-described reasonable moderate pundit out there has told me that Spanberger is a reasonable moderate.

Therefore this is a reasonable moderate policy now.

Certainly sounds like a good policy to me.

+1 - here's a summary:

"A 287(g) agreement is a partnership between U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and state/local law enforcement, allowing designated local officers to perform certain federal immigration enforcement functions, effectively deputizing them as immigration agents under federal oversight"

Trump's approval on immigration is cratering. I think it's a pretty moderate policy to not put officers paid for by VA taxpayers under Trump's control.

Within the few first hours of Democrats having complete control in Richmond, they have made it easier for illegal immigrants who commit crimes against Virginians to remain in the Commonwealth by repealing EO 47.

By directing our local law enforcement to stop working with federal law enforcement agencies, our streets have become less safe with a stroke of the pen.

This is a disaster for the public safety of the Commonwealth.

Mark my words, there will be Virginians who will be robbed, raped and murdered as a result of this anti public safety executive order. No one should be surprised.

On the other hand fewer Virginians will bd assaulted or murdered by ICE.

I'm watching Gov. Spanberger address VA Gen. Assembly of VA with her agenda and she is dynamite! Trump is going to belittle her in every way he can because she is making AFFORDABILITY her mantra. She is for the people not the billionaires!

Trump will issue an unconditional pardon to Bondi.

This is a moderate policy position now. Independent voters thing ICE is using excessive force by almost 3 to 1.
