+1 - here's a summary:

"A 287(g) agreement is a partnership between U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and state/local law enforcement, allowing designated local officers to perform certain federal immigration enforcement functions, [b]effectively deputizing them as immigration agents under federal oversight[/b]"

Trump's approval on immigration is cratering. I think it's a pretty moderate policy to not put officers paid for by VA taxpayers under Trump's control.[/quote]
