This is bankrupting the local govt so it is a major problem |
| How so? |
DP. I think she is supposed to defend the Constitution as long as Virginia is a part of the United States. That includes obeying US laws. |

Spanberger's order did not say ICE can't come in on a valid warrant and arrest/detain/deport somebody. It didn't say Virginia police can't arrest someone suspected of committing a crime if that person has any particular immigration status. The way I read it, it just says that Virginia police won't be deputized to assist ICE or act on behalf of ICE to enforce an ICE-related warrant. This makes sense to me, as someone generally in favor of using existing legal procedures to deport illegal aliens.
1. Let ICE do their job while police in Virginia focus on their own job without adding enforcement of ICE stuff. 2. ICE has a legally valid mission, but there have been some incidents lately that raise concern about the policies and procedures currently being used and whether there are issues of excessive force, unwarranted harm to citizens or legal residents, and whether the way ICE operates makes communities safer or less safe. Given the context, limiting cooperation while ICE figures out how to do their job without these incidents seems potentially prudent. |

They are proudly ignorant. |
Sounds good to me. 👍👍 |
Her EO only applies to the Virginia State Police. Organizations like the Fairfax County PD and the Alexandria Sheriff’s Office can continue to work with ICE the way they did prior to the Spanberger EO. |
Clinton and Harris were also described as "not that liberal." Same profile. So call it whatever you want but they both got *demolished* by *this guy.* Think about that - their profile was so unappealing that *this guy* beat them. And the second time it wasn't even a race - it was called a week before the election inside both campaigns. You don't have be in favor of him to see the pattern and perhaps think going for a three-peat is a bad idea. |

She is off to a great start! I’m thrilled to see the elimination of mandatory minimum sentencing for rape, manslaughter, assaulting a law enforcement officer, possession and distribution of CP, and all repeat violent felonies.
Making VA safer already. https://lis.virginia.gov/bill-details/20261/HB863 |
The income tax increase bills won’t survive the state senate. There will be at least two Dems in purple districts that vote against it. |
None of the NOVA Dems will be able to vote for it - their entire careers are built on having standing in the wealthy DC suburbs that are definitely over the proposed amounts for increases. |
For any convicted criminal that doesn't receive a mandatory sentence, let's relocate them with free housing to ultra-liberal neighborhoods.

To be fair, they are also evil. |
Funny how you forget that "that guy" got "demolished" in between the two victories. Oh, and it was a *race* in 2024. (Harris's race). Yes, sadly, racism and sexism are enough to move the needle in elections. A sundowning liberal white guy defeated a sundowning insane criminal white guy in 2020. Maybe "liberal" isn't the issue that drives people to Trump after all. |
You do realize that Trump is deporting green card holders and canceling citizenship ceremonies, right? He’s also detaining US citizens, including brown people who are COPS. It’s not about the rules, friend. If your grandparents were here on their green cards bleach there’s a good chance he’d send them packing if he thought they believed or said the wrong thing. And for what it’s worth, my great great grandparents took a boat to America with change in their pockets, no papers, and were welcomed at the factories and railroads the next day. |
