This is funny and true, intentionally or not. Too few of us (adults) do constructive things to work on our emotions, to change the narratives we tell ourselves. The man and the waffle maker is the least surprising thing I’ll read all day. Of course he expects a woman to make his food and calm his apoplexy. He has no self-respect and it immediately becomes any woman’s problem. |

| I work in a job where we have tons of interactions with our employees, in my 16 years career I have only come across 3-4 men who were difficult to deal with or had any anger issues. OTOH, my worst experiences have been with women in terms of sheer number (at least 20 times that of men) and anger scale, there is simply no comparison. I say this as a woman who is very neutral and generally patient, obviously ymmv. |

| Social media and people like Charlie Kirk focus a lot of effort on telling white males that they are under assault by women, minorities, immigrants etc. If you feel like you are under attack you fight back. Not long ago white males ruled the roost but that is not the same today. |

Men have always been angry, but now they get fewer passes for it, and have to bring more to the table to even land a woman in the first place.
If you are a MC woman, how many of your girlfriends have abusive male partners? I don't mean grumpy or passive aggressive... I mean "she has to wear sunglasses and joke about how clumsy she is at least once a month." Very few, right? I don't have a single female friend who is in a physically abusive relationship. Whereas in my grandmother's era, it was common. Husband would go to his 9-5, get shat upon by his boss, swing by the bar, come home and take it out on the wife. I agree that teaching boys to deal with their naturally occurring aggression, and to be able to process their emotions in a healthy way, should job #1 for parents. |

Nah, it's definitely a man thing, but it might be a poor/ uneducated man thing. I live in a very diverse neighborhood and the white men are all walking doodle dogs and wearing babies. I've seen some violence but it's always been men of color, because that's who's poor/ uneducated where I live. If I lived in Appalachia, it would be a totally different story. |

It does, actually. Another commonality among mass gun murderers is that they are SINGLE. Dude with a kid and a dog is socialized. Some might disparagingly say domesticated. Very, very rarely goes on a shooting spree. |
