Yes, absolutely same for my kid! Also at least the current strategy of having ED0 seems hard to pass on. Kids would get 3 ED opportunities. I am surprised other schools haven't offered it, although to be fair this is only cycle 2 for ED0 at Uchicago. |
My national science finalist competition kid at UChicago would need to be an international award winner now?? Please...it's not an arms race, and this school is ranked #6, recent past, #3, and is focused on the "life of the mind" not frat party culture. Why would anyone that had a brain NOT want to go there? My kid is thrilled to finally be with peers that are naturally SMART (you know it if you have it...) |
+1. The kids we met at U.Chicago were polished and engaging, more so than at some Ivies. Using anecdotal evidence to try and frame the distinction between the respective student populations as a social one is misguided in this case. |
