what are you even talking about. Post has a lot of anger towards NW. They do you dirty or something?

Vanderbilt is what Duke used to be. Unfortunately liberal Duke administrators have drastically changed Duke and many alums
are not happy.

WOW ! What a creepy comment. Someone has a lot of pent-up anger over his or her rejection. Seek counseling.

So weird that Americans would pick a school based on football.

+1 And Vanderbilt doesn't have it all. Most people don't want to go to Tennessee.

+1 And Vanderbilt doesn't have it all. Some GenX liberals and their activist daughters from the Amtrak corridor don't want to go to Tennessee.

Hope your kid enjoys the school spirit this year. The success on the field won't be the same senior year; just plain odds.

weird comment - success and runs like this become the seeds for a dynasty at top academic schools. Ever hear of Coach K?

Vandy had a similarly amazing upset win against Alabama last season.

It all adds up to a great student experience for certain kids - those who are conventionally social and into sports and school spirit (like both my DCs).

But it’s not the dream school profile or fit for everyone. Different kids have different personalities, interests, and wants/needs when it comes to college. And life.

And the rest of us in that category are not the least bit concerned.

Please don’t stereotype us GenX northeastern liberals. We’re not a monolith. I’d love for either or both of my kids to go to Vandy!!

Most do live off campus. https://vanderbilthustler.com/2025/09/10/vanderbilt-transfer-students-required-to-live-off-campus-or-on-campus-with-random-roommate/

For comparison sake, freshmen class size is 2300, so that is a massive number of transfers. Definitely a back end route in.

There was also an article a year or so ago on the success of the transfer program and how the transfer students really enriched campus life.

How do they have so much room for so many transfers? Do they really lose that many students per year?

They don’t lose students. They plan for transfers.

This seems an odd approach. Do any other schools plan for transfers?

+1 And so delusional. So many people have never heard of Vanderbilt, particularly in the Northeast.

USC. It’s clearly a means of having a bigger class, while keeping first year stats optimized.

What is up with all of these Vanderbilt threads? Is this some form of stealth marketing from the university?
