And now they want to take away your access.... |
It's the 4th circuit, not the 4th district. The ruling did not say FCPS MUST provide trans accommodations, it said that in that case FCPS MAY provide trans accommodations. It also doesn't say that the federal government must continue to fund you if your policies go against federal policy. For example, Harvard MAY racially discriminate, but the federal government doesn't have to fund them if that discrimination goes against federally policy. A state may lower the drinking age to 12 and increase the speed limit to 00 mph but the federal government doesn't have to find their roads if that goes against federal policy. Usually these federal policies are codified in laws and not based on executive whim and that is a legit argument but you didn't seem to know WTF you are talking about |
This "hack" supreme Court is the only thing providing any limits on this administration. They're unelected, there's a limit to what they should be able to do. Try winning some elections instead of just shrieking at everyone all the time. |
You really don't understand how much the judiciary has done do you. |
You could try winning an election sometime instead of calling everyone to the right if you a MAGAT until they finally believe you. |
What you see as cruelty is the removal of privilege. |
You are right, I'm not seeing the effect yet. I can see all that broken beyond repair, and have no faith that anyone will ever be held accountable for the harm done |
Anyone who voted for Trump is brain dead And anti American You knew he was never going to leave office you knew he’d turn out like Putin you knew he’d hand national secrets over and you dam well know he’s in the Epstein files No6 only are you anti American garbage you are happy to support child abuse |
You need to get out of your bubble. |
PP here. If you will notice, I did not attempt to make any argument. I asked a question, prefaced with, “…what I don’t understand…”. |
I didn’t call anyone a MAGAT. Delusional and defensive. |
Wow. Neither PP, but I think you and I have a different definition of child abuse. And, there's the problem. |
Um, you missed the point. FCPS is diverting funding out of the classroom at an alarming pace. The priorities that our school board and superintendent have for the FCPS budget are incredibly harmful to the actual education of children. You might not support vouchers, but supporting this board and superintendent is just as bad if you are concerned about the availability of funds for instruction in the classroom. |
Am I misreading something here? I think the 4th Circuit upheld the district court ruling, saying that the school must allow kids to use the restrooms and other facilities matching their gender identity. |
You are correct. The person you responded to is wrong. The Grimm case was very clear and remains in effect, much to the chagrin of local republicans who want to bully trans kids. |
