Don't men have fertility issues after 40 as well?

Yes but without a partner, you're putting the fish before the rod

Sounds like he’s desperate to have kids. Women in the same situation are likely looking for someone younger than OP though.

This. Older men want to have kids with younger women. And older women want to have kids with younger men as well.

I am about to test OP's theory. I turned 47 yesterday and went on date with a woman who is 34. I have 2 kids and divorced. She doesn't have any kids and never married. We had a good time. And we will go on our second date next week.

Folks I am just going on date lol. I'm not looking for a second wife. If she wants a husband and kids she wouldn't have agreed to go on a date with me.

Sperm count declines with age. After 65 years old it can take a bit more sex to knock a woman up. If the woman enjoys the sex, then there's likely to be more of it, so it's a push.

That's barring health issues or drug use.

Be sure to be honest with her that it's just a physical attraction thing and not a relationship thing.

Which is where they make their mistake.

Vast majority of men under 40 these days are still too immature to make good fathers and husbands.

This describes a lot of divorced men I've dated, too, though

Describes most everyone over 30 years old who has lived on their own for any period of time.

Yeah and those men pursue women who are younger than 40

Average age gap for first marriages is 1.4 years; second marriage 4 years. Keep dreaming about all these younger women drooling over you, bro !

Traditionally it was about 20 years, and marriages lasted forever, till death do they part. Less than 4% divorce rate for hundreds of years.

Modern society tried to reverse the gender roles and now divorce rates are over 65%, and they were only 35% just 40 years ago.

It's feminism that has ruined everything. Saying this as a woman.

A lot of us would be perfectly fine with a guy like that. I have several guy friends in that category. The last guy I dated was unmarried and child-free at 46. Less baggage is nice. That said, guys who fit this profile are often single by choice, and used to having things just the way they like them. My ex and I are very different types of grownups, and I didn't see us being able to merge our living situations.

Yea, it's indecent to waste the fertility years of a woman, if she wants a family. Should be a punishable offense if intentional.

Maybe you are a woman, but you can't google and throw baseless statements. There was never an age gap of 20 years at marriage in Anglo Saxon cultures, even 3 centuries ago. It was 2-4 years max, people married at 20

Why not? OP needs to date women his age if he wants to be popular
