+100000 There has not been weeks of the dew point sitting at 75+ all day and all night without a break. Usually we have a break of a few days in between. This is not typical at all for NOVA weather. That's why there have been many articles about it recently. The deniers are a really interesting breed since you know we all "trust science" and the facts presented to us. |
If you type in weather on google, it would tell you that the weather today is a high of 86 and a low of 68. I'm not sure how your "heat index" is calculated, I just look at the temperature, but I walked to work today because it was so pleasant. |
DC has been humid subtropical (Koppen Cfa) for lifetimes.
Even New York City, which used to be considered humid continental, but is now also considered humid subtropical, had people leaving it in droves to escape the summers. Hence all the vacationland in New England: New Yorkers escaping the sweltering heat. The Mid-Atlantic has always had hot, sticky summers. |
"I'm not sure how your "heat index" is calculated." Wow, your ignorance is really freaking sad. I hope you aren't really serious but I fear you are. ![]() |
86 is pleasant for DC in July. It's a historical low in fact, for those who know how to read data. But you do you, and blast your AC to the max. |
I just can’t stand the mosquitos! I’m being eaten alive. |
There is no heat index of 102 today in DC. It’s 86 and a heat index of 91. Normal! |
+1 Some people just make up numbers...it's nice out today. |
DC-area weather sucks, generally. |
