Radio silence at mine. A lot people are completely unaware of the memo.

So if I feel co peeled to attend daily mass, I can telework every day?

Does it give anyone the creepy feeling this is how they can ask your religion which is otherwise not allowed? I hate to think it's true but??

Why would Feds be any different?

Footnote: this link was posted multiple times but it kept getting deleted. Someone really doesn’t want the truth to get out.

Because it's timesheet fraud and they fire you, genius.

+1. Also unlike a company the govt wants to get rid of as many people as possible right now regardless of what they do so it would be crazy to run that risk now.

Agree

Completely.

That said, I hope every Muslim gets tw the entire month of Ramadan. Because let's be honest, this administration is only thinking of Jews and Christians, and still hates Muslims. So suck it up, administration. Full Ramadan telework!

To be honest Jews (like me) rarely need telework for holidays because for the big holidays we are prohibited from working at all. I am not going to telework on Yom Kippur, I will be on leave. It is helpful though if one can ask for partial telework for a holiday that starts at sundown, as all Jewish holidays do - telework so you can go right into the observance instead of commuting home first. My agency has long allowed that. But if they'd said no, I'd just have gone to work and taken an extra couple hours of leave.

I'd love to telework before hosting a seder or traveling to one. I would never ask for every Friday. I imagine some will though . All 8 nights of Hanukah also feels like taking advantage.

For someone who is observant, teleworking on Friday helps because they can work later. Especially helpful in the winter.

How is it timesheet fraud if location isn’t reflected on the timesheet?

For most Fed time sheet programs, it is. As part of my time I record if it was in office or telework, and if telework, what kind - recurring or situational.

How is it fraud if you put telework on timesheet? You can’t fire someone just for teleworking (especially if your CBA says you can).

But of course, all you sheep blindly do whatever you’re told. That’s why you’re in government; private sector employees have personal agency and take calculated risks. Sad.

It's harder to fire someone with a religious RA as it makes supervisors nervous. Speaking of, I live near a synagogue and a mosque. Which one has the most potential for telework? I don't mind giving up Saturday mornings to join either.

You know what’s ironic? All the obsession with “timesheet fraud,” but meanwhile opm consistently badgers everyone to validate their timesheets like 1-2 days early before the pay period is even over, expecting everyone to know and validate their future expected time. What am I validating exactly? My INTENDED OR EXPECTED work hours a day in advance?

So silly. Nobody else allows employees to submit time entries for days that haven’t even occurred yet. Not McDonald’s. Not law firms.
