Actually, I've never seen a moderator so Flumoxxed!

We won. Why do you keep reviving this thread and trying to smash anyone who disagrees with you?
I'm a white male Gray supporter. My kids are in private (StA) and I do have Business interests in the black community. I am voting in my best interests for sure. I'll own that. But I'm a consensus builder. You are RABID. Give it a rest.

Amen! Now please talk some sense into the write-in-ers. (Some sound like birthers.) Some in our ward 3 school don't believe me that there are men like you who did not support Adrian. The Post didn't lose the election. Rhee didn't lose the election. Fed up blacks didn't lose the election. FENTY lost. The writein-ers will just feed his ego and give credibility of the "Fenty Panders to Whites" conspiracy.

Take it down a notch people. We've got work to do.

I really see no connection between the write-in campaign and birthers at all. None. Fenty supporters are as liberal, crunchy, eco-friendly, over-educated, pro-choice, high income as a Democrat ever gets. Any Republicans that support him seem to old style Jacob Javits Republcans (moderates) As far as I can tell.

Tony Williams said in an interview that he thinks the Post's adoration of Fenty did him in -- that if they had criticized Fenty as strongly as they criticized Williams that Fenty would have done more to build support for himself in the community. Interesting perspective.

I do -- they are acting based on a belief system instead of facts. Yes, they may otherwise be crunchy Democrats, making it more difficult for them to perceive themselves as birther/tea party types, but they are acting like them - basing their beliefs on fears instead of facts, not even being interested in the facts. Because they are intelligent, I'm afraid they think they've thought it through, but it doesn't look like they have.

What is all this "Back to Barry" business? If they'd ever listened to Gray for 3 minutes, they'd see that he is NOT Barry and never has been. If they listened to Gray, really listened to him, they'd come away thinking he was a reasonable, intelligent, thoughtful, well-informed guy, even if they didn't agree with everything he said. And I do think, most of the people who voted for Fenty would feel good about Gray, if they let themselves.

yeah...Republicans want to tell you what kind of car you can drive....and how much money you can make....and what you can eat... and what you can say....and where you can smoke....and where you can pray....ARE YOU F"ING NUTS !!!!! Repuplicans would gladly accept "Everybody can do whatever they want" even if they had to accept Muslims and public gay Sex. DEMOCRATS WOULD NOT ACCEPT CONTROLLING POWER!!!!

Uh, last I checked we do need private healthcare. What government healthcare are you on?
What I Mean is.... you will have to pay for both because the Public Health will inevitably suck...like public schools and it will employ all kinds of vapid losers.

Sweetie, what the health care bill did was expand access to private insurance. It guaranteed that folks with expensive diseases can still get insurance, and requires everyone to buy health insurance (on the private market!), in order to end emergency room freeloaders. There are no new government jobs involved. (Though the private insurance company that covers me employs armies of vapid losers.)
