I'm cool, thanks. 8)

It takes time to take the true measure of voting data--the general election hasn't even happened yet. Zogby, et al, has not or may not ever weigh in on DC's self destruct vote. It's like when DC voters re-elcted Barry even after the crack tapes were national news. They were protecting a "Native Son". DC voting patterns are emotional and irrational. It defies analysis at times.

Whatever.

Dorrie here, not logged in. Can you please provide a link to anything in the WaPo about where voters' children go to school mapped with which Mayoral candidate they supported? As I said, I haven't seen this anywhere. If you have, please share it. Without that, your broad statements about Gray supporters aren't worth much.

Dorrie again. Just to be clear: even though I disagree with a great many of the things you said, I'm genuinely curious about any data you might be aware of that analyzes voting patterns beyond race and ward. I think that the WaPo's emphasis on race in pre-election coverage did everyone a huge disservice. If they've gathered any data to make up for this, I'd love to parse it.

Gray will return the city to the status quo, where anti-achievement culture will fester and grow, racial tension and suspicion while reach new lows. In that environment the city's AA population will be in chaos. The charter school becomes even more of a fake haven for kids to get a sub par education from a revolving door of reject teachers. If you are that white parent of a Washington Latin student and are busy building your own little Bob Jone University with tax payer money, well I don't agree with that whole concept so I voted for a Mayor with an anti-charter Chancellor.

Gray has already shown that he will kiss WTU ASS. This is the most damning piece of evidence of all. The teachers (AND THEIR SPOUSES) on this board are completely transparent in their posting on this issue, BTW.

Alrighty then! Best be getting on your way out of town. Chaos is just around the corner and will be taking over the day after the election. That doesn't leave you much time. Bye-bye!

You wish. My kids will just be clawing their way along as best they can. Jaded self interested jerks will just make it that much less pleasant for them. I'll continue to be a ward three home owner with a nice life that I work hard to pay for and you'll continue to whine endlessly about what the "man'" owes you. We'll see where your attitude toward life gets you. Good luck with that!

Oh that's so funny pp! I'm a white upper middle class woman with a PhD who is living the good life. I don't whine about "the man." I am "the man"! I'm amused just imagining what kind of scary monsters are running around your head.

parents who own homes in ward 3 have never had to worry about good schools for their kids. There are plenty of excellent public and private schools nearby.

Some people don't get that some blacks can be just as anti-white .... as some whites are anti-black. Some blacks don't like Rhee simply because they don't trust her because she's not one of them.

Wow, is this entire election racial in your mind. For the whites who do not like Rhee's skills, is that also because of the color of Rhee's skin. PP, you really need to take a chill pill and abandon your boogey man freak show. It's tiring and you have turned so many people off, that now people are sighing and laughing at you.

Oh I'm so worried what you think pp (not) and this is the first time I've written.

This is what you get with Democrats. Disfunction. Soon you will need private health care along with private school. What ever happened to the Democrat Party why are any kind of standards so foreign to them? They are the bottom of the barrel.

Uh, last I checked we do need private healthcare. What government healthcare are you on?

Do you really think Republicans are looking out for regular people? Seem more interested in controlling how we love, pray, and what we do with our bodies.

13:07, I wonder if you would say that absolutely ridiculous statement if you had to state your name. My suspicion is that you don't know any black people or have any black friends. I'm AA, voted for Gray, have a Master's degree and law degree. I also have a very in-depth understanding of education in the city and know a lot more than others. That is why I voted for Gray and dislike Michelle Rhee for the city.

Robert Bobb stated that he's been sued multiple times in Detroit. He's gone far and beyond what Rhee has done. He's fired more than 1000 people, closed 50+ schools. The difference, he told people what he was doing. He communicated it and got their buy in even though they didn't like it. Rhee did herself in.
